Why is it I'm so attracted to military men, or men in uniforms
period?

Jacksonville Fl has a huge Navy, Marine, Army, Coast Guard & National Guard presence. Everything except Air Force now that I think of it.

oooh

A man in uniform is a huge turn on.
Has been all my life.
The Marine dress blues do it for me. But hey I don't mind. They're all hot!! Glad I'm not the only one.

I think, and I could be wrong...
That the reason we see uniforms as appealing is because, the people in them are usually the kind of people our mothers and fathers told us we could trust as kids.
They mean, depending on the uniform: a protector, a savior, someone who is kind and compassionate, someone who can heal you and someone who can carry you out of the flames.

It's not just women who are attracted to people in uniforms either, men do it too...
If a chick walks by in lab coat or scrubs, they are going to take a second look, because, hey medical field. AKA someone who gives to others of themselves.
Just my thoughts on the topic.

Because you are taught to be. It's social programming embedded within almost every facet of our society from near birth. ever see those jammies for little newborns with the firetruck and the caption 'Mommy's Little Hero'? We're brainwashed into thinking that the uniform makes a person a hero. It doesn't, but we're taught to believe it does. And so women are taught to 'give thanks' with sex to the heroes.

I totally can agree with this. I still love the idea that my wife thinks firemen are sexy and fantasizes about them.

I think it is a combination, like stated earlier, the social training that they are in a position of public trust.

While I was in there were some ladies that looked very good in uniform (gotta love annual swim qual time) . and as my current profession - a few ladies look good in turn out gear as well.

Someone seems a little bitter, yeah?
I have a deep respect for anyone (personal lives notwithstanding) in the military or public safety. Yes it is the way I was raised, as a Navy brat. It is incomprehensible how some people can't or don't respect those who protect us. So yes, I might have a hero complex. But it beats the hell out of a dead beat or bad boy complex, don't you think?

it most definantly does.

Despite some of the rivalry between the branches. I know the air force and army were never happy when we had exercises on their bases.

and now in my current job - we may always tease the police and they tease us,

but in the end we do look out for eachother
