If someone insisting that you're not who you say you are affects you that badly then perhaps the latter is your best option because you're taking this place MUCH too seriously to survive for long.

Long life convinced me I think different from most people. My brain detects alternative hypotheses before it detects the conventional wisdom. I sense other patterns and explanations for the facts.

Here's an example of what I mean. On an IQ test it asked me to identify the odd man out in a group of 5 animals. The question had 2 correct answers. 1. all the animals had common names beginning with the letter 's' (except for the pig) and all were mammals except for the snake. That's classic confounding.
