How Many Lit Girls Are Fake Female?

The vast majority of people here are never going to actually meet each other face to face.

Who the fuck cares if Karen is really Ken, that KRCummings is actually her husband (Other than his actual wife that is)? Sure, it's fucking hilarious when someone who managed to fool a rather large percentage of the board finally fucks up and gets outed. It's even more hilarious to learn that she (he) was carrying on a cyber-sex relationship with some massively homophobic idiots who shall remain nameless. ;)

But in the long run who actually gives a shit?

If you're here looking to hook up and are shocked to find out that some people on Lit aren't who they claim to be then you're should probably be out looking for companionship in the real world, where you can mostly tell the difference. If you're so socially awkward and stunted that this is an impossibility for you then you takes your chances here among the anonymous pretenders and the occasional truthful poster.

Your best bet is to assume that everyone is lying about themselves in one way or another. "Karen" may be a 300lb douche of a man named Ken. "KRCummings" may be her husband posting pics of his wife without her knowledge. "LouCFer" may be an actual human being somewhere deep under all of the vitriol and venom (but I wouldn't count on it). Some may even claim to own patents they don't or to be a Psychologist in KKK garb.

it does matter, to me, at least

Because, in my case, the whole saga started like some innocent fun, which amused me, too.
However, things progressed and it had nothing to do with my sexuality. It became a way of changing the power dynamic within a debate or argument, of putting me down and telling me to STFU. It was v. upsetting for me I felt that it was bordering on harassment.

And I suspect that other Lit women feel the same way - again, most often these 'accusations' have nothing to do with hooking up or sexuality.

The only advice I can give you is to grow a thicker skin or retreat from the General Board.

If someone insisting that you're not who you say you are affects you that badly then perhaps the latter is your best option because you're taking this place MUCH too seriously to survive for long.
