Yes, now that you mention it. Heading for 300 votes in 1.5 days, although my ratio is not quite as good as yours. I'm at a loss to explain it.

Maybe the message is getting out that we (authors) don't get paid but we do appreciate the votes.

Or then again, it might be a glitch in the system.

I'm voting for some sort of glitch in the system with the views. I'm seeing a pretty high vote to view ratio on almost everything I check. It used to be that very few things broke 2%, and now well over half of them are.

This is especially true in Incest, where the percentage of votes to views was much lower.

Of course, it's possible they upgraded the filters recently to weed out more of the bots and spiders from the view count.

More like the trolls are out in force. My first vote was a 1. The next day it was followed by 4 twos in a row but there was also 4 twos on all my stories in my sig line that day.

My story in mature already has a comment that says the writing is fine, but the content earned it a one. Its called The Mentor. It's about an AA sponsor and a hypersexual young woman who wants to get sober. The anonymous comment was something like "You can't pervert recovery." It's so silly. Of course you can pervert recovery. You can pervert anything. That's the point of writing erotica!

Ah, well. A 1 from a disgruntled reader is better than a 1 from a troll.

Ignoring one story that wasn't my usual story, I have gotten similar Day 1 scores for my last three stories, all brother/sister incest stories. Comparing the results so far to their first day results is a little interesting:

Glad you enjoyed it, great to hear someone did. I've said all along it's a bit niche. People will either get it, or they won't.

Probably should've spent more time finessing it, but I was concerned about getting the minimum vote number. And for a short piece, it took me a fair while to write.

I loved it! My favorite so far! But I know from experience that your heroine's defining characteristic rarely polls well. Be that as it may, you kept my attention and I was delighted that she decided against the change at the end.

First off the great vote to view ratio is because there are less views...

I suggested in the thread I started that perhaps lit had found a way to cut down on bogus views.

However Manu posted several times on that thread and had that been the case would have said so, but what he said was "traffic is the same"

Also that would explain less views, but not diminished comments favs and in many cases votes. Several readers I correspond with regularly when I asked if they see anything odd all said they noticed the stories don't have as many comments as usual

look at the hubs, some authors/stories are doing the 'norm' buy most are low on comments, on favs and votes.

For whatever reason there is less 'action' across the board and I don't buy traffic being the same...or should we think people are now coming here and just clicking off and not viewing anything, let alone commenting?

I actually had the opposite. When I first checked, it was low, then it went up by the end of the day, and it hasn't changed much since the end of day 1. it went down 0.03, but it's gone back up 0.02 since then.

Mine had a 'H' for the first 300 votes and then slowly lost a tenth after every 100 more votes. Now at over 700+ votes it's down to 4.46.

That's a lot of votes. What's your secret? What's the percentage of views? I have heard rumors that artful choice of tag words makes a big difference, but I was sort of clueless in that regard.
