I've read many men love intelligence and I don't know many women on your level of intelligence!Actually stretch marks arise due to breaking of the dermis, which is the second layer of skin below the epidermis. This can happen during the rapid growth that occurs during puberty, stretching during pregnancy and also because of obesity. So I can understand where the insecurity comes from. Not discouraging anyone from posting here though! As someone said to me recently, "We are more than just a physical body."

It comes down to personal insecurities. We see much around us, about "beauty, perfection" etc. we lose sight of what is actually beautiful, in ourself, as we cannot compete with what is around us.

There are twice as many men who don't see imperfections the same way you all do. I tend to listen more to the negative than the positive because it validates my feelings, but I know I need to change that and except all of my scars, stretch marks, and imperfections. Those "imperfections" represent a full and wonderful life and all the ups and downs that go along with it.
