I'd like that too!

The American public, it seems, is really missing Jon Stewart. More than 200,000 fans of the former “Daily Show” host, including Maryland Governor and Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley, have signed a petition on Change.org, calling for Stewart to moderate one of the 2016 presidential debates.

“Jon Stewart is more than qualified to tackle the moderating job,” the petition, which has, over the last two weeks, gathered over 211,000 signatures, states. “Mr. Stewart has interviewed 15 heads of state, 22 members of the United States Cabinet, 32 members of the United States Senate, 7 members of the United States House of Representatives, and scores of other political leaders from this country and around the world.”

I doubt that Fox would let him moderate the Rethuglican pander fest though. :D

I'd like to see Bill O'Reilly moderate a debate. I'm sure he'd start by making everyone say the Pledge of Allegiance.

BillO' should do the Democratic and Stewart the Rthug's. Wouldn't that be fun?:D

It might be fun, it wouldn't be fair. Bill would try to catch Dems and they'd just answer his questions. Jon would evicerate the Republicans.

Fair, Fair, just where is it written you have to be fair to politicians?

Except for Bernie, few of them are even honest. Most are pandering liars, and those that aren't are prevaricators.

Common courtesy demands fairness to politicians. However in this case fair was meant more like not letting a guy named Achmed referee the Israel vs Iraq soccer game. It doesn't really matter who you want to win common sense tells you that stacking the deck like that simply looks bad and nobody will think the victory is legit under those conditions.

How much they do or don't lie is largely a matter of opinion. I think most people lie when it suits them and are prevaricators when that's possible. On this particular subject it doesn't mean anything but most politicians who have actually spent some time in office you can generally sort the bs from the truth.

The republican ones are already so entertaining, but it would be fun to see Jon have a go at them.
