Zeugma fun, you crazy kids!

He lost his wallet and his dignity.

She drained her glass and his face.

I know the old saw "Love Your adverbs", with the initial letters (L & Y) reminding you to walk softLY or drive carefulLY.

I've worked hard enough today. My feet and verbs are propped up and resting.

Nicely done, sir.

The best I know remains Flanders and Swann:

'She made no reply, up her mind, and a dash for the door.'

I really don't like conference calls (I'm totally devoting all of my attention to the one I am currently on), and also my hair which I had to cut out of two vacuum cleaners today to get the brushes to spin.

From another thread.

Brush up your Shakespeare

If you can't be a ham and do Hamlet
They will not give a damn or a damlet
Just recite an occasional sonnet
And your lap'll have honey upon it
When your baby is pleading for pleasure Let her sample your Measure for Measure.

Diagram that.
