Beyond Star City: The Heroes in the Shadows of Tomorrow OOC

that is sweet looking

It really is.

Someone pointed out that the blue trigger looks a trifle odd, and I agree, but there's probably an in-universe explanation for it. Maybe it glows in the presence of vampires, or something, like Bilbo's sword Sting in the presence of orcs.

Okay I get the gun (And is the trigger blue or black onyx? That would explain the shine and maybe why it looks blue in the picture.)

The container would probably hold holy water, and of course the stake.

However is that thing in the front a sprayer for the water or something else?

And are those small balls silver bullets or small grenades of some kind, (again silver or something else) after all that looks like a Vampire killing kit so they could contain blessed wooden slivers.

Whoops second look that bit on the front could attach to the top of the stake giving it a better grip. (sorry about that. Should look closely next time)

I tried to follow the links in the posts to try and find more information about what the "kit" consisted of, but unfortunately both links to describing articles on The NRA Blog were out-of-date. But if I incorporate this gun into Shrieve's arsenal, I'll certainly take your suggestions into account for my headcanons!

So are we all meeting in Sleepy Hollow before moving onto New Carthage?

I'm cool with that if that's what we're doing, Constantine's presence may be affecting synchronicity, I'm just wondering if I should bring in Liv and Alice now or wait 'till everyone gets to the next town.

Well almost got everything right :)

Those bullets are pretty cool, but you would want to retrieve them every time. I guess the mirror is that black handled bit at the top right. I am pretty sure the trigger is black but through use has gotten that oily sheen that makes it look a little blue in the picture.

(I zoomed in and you can sort of tell, but maybe I am wrong. However all the other fittings are black so I doubt they would have gone for another color.)

Frank has basically a candy store of occult weapons in his jeep. Guns, knives, hatchets, swords, stakes, grenades, magic, tech. Whatever you need to kill what feeds.

Maybe those 2 in next city (New Carthage). After all Liv would get there via Father Time who would know exactly where the threat is. Alice well I guess that is up to you.

Yeah, Liv would get there via Father Time, that's quite correct.

Unless his spaciotemporal bilocation process was disrupted somehow, prevented from approaching New Carthage-- depositing him in Sleepy Hollow instead, by sheer "coincidence." (see also: Synchronicity.)

Black Alice's Traci 13 template could time out before she reaches New Carthage, then she'd have to make an emergency landing in Sleepy Hollow (coincidence/synchronicity) to re-up with a new template.

But all of this is hypothetical. I'm just trying to gauge whether Lunar wants us to meet here first and then move on, or if we're going to do all our introductions in two stages.

Either way works for me. I figured that as you said Constantine and his synchronicity it was fitting he run ito the other potential Scoobys before all hell breaks loose. I think it would be easier to do intros once rather than twice but I am not opposed to either choice.

LOL the actual supernatural ghost busting Scooby Gang. I call Scooby. :D

Liv is probably Velma, because she's the brains.

Craft is probably Fred.

Shrieve is Daphne.

...which probably means John is Shaggy.

(Alice and Franken!Chas are celebrity guests Lily and Herman Munster.)

Oh crap!!

Just worked out that means I am live bait all the time. :)

I tell you, those better be some damn good Scooby snacks or I'm out.
Hmm hang on didn't Scooby get kisses from the girls too? Okay back in again :D

Perhaps interestingly, Blue and Franken!Chas would be the only ones in this bunch Liv could kiss safely.

MMMMMM Now I have no problems with that :D:heart::heart::kiss:

Just one other thing...Does Mr Craft know a lot about our Ms Shrieve as they both used to be members of the Ancestral order of Hunters. (Oh and that question goes both ways)

Shreve was always gonna be a monster hunter, but when Nevyn introduced The Ancestral Order as part of his backstory for Craft, I asked him to let me tie her into that concept. I don't know how much Craft has his ear to the ground, but it's entirely feasible that he might have heard that Shrieve has been ousted from The Order because of her unauthorized attack on a pillar of the vampire community.

Of course, Liv is also perfectly positioned to throw shade on Shrieve's claim she's still with S.H.A.D.E., so either way Miranda's sins are going to find her out in short order.

OOOHHHH BUSTED. :D

Craft is like the old Gunnery Sgnt who lives in the hills with too many guns. Of course he knows everything that happens, people send him letters and emails and phone calls minutes after it goes down.

Oh, poor, poor Shrieve.

Maybe it's fitting that her name rhymes with "O, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive."

Miranda and Liv are both on-site now.

Lori/Alice's arrival is going to be a tad dramatic, so I'll hold off on that until people can suitably react to each other.

I was holding my breath a bit to give more people a chance to chime in, but if people want me to go ahead again with my Three Moirai, I can do.

Yes I was expecting a few more posts but it looks like it might be a fight between yourselves (lol) again Chas with Danny trying to stop it getting all out of control.

No worries.

I wasn't trying to seem impatient, just checking in.

I am a ghost that haunts The Internet; I am well-practiced in talking to myself.

But I can give people a little more to react to.

I apologize, I tend to not be able to multitask, so I get to dealing with something and forget about other things. Got caught up with the SuperHero thread and totally didn't do anything with this. Not that there is that much to say, Craft doesn't talk much.

He's more like a point and shoot kinda character.

Heh, no worries!

Lunar's just told me what power Lori got, so I'm about to give him something to point at. Or you can point at Shrieve! Options!
