The only candidacy Trump is killing is his own.
Ill make my prediction here.

As soon as it becomes clear that Trump will not be the GOP nominee one of two things will happen.

1) He'll drop out completely before he loses the primaries just like he did last time, his ego can't take a loss.

2) He'll declare that the GOP has treated him badly and run as a spoiler independent candidate ala Ralph Nader. This will siphon off the true nut-bag votes from the GOP candidate and ensure a Democratic win.

I'm leaning heavily toward option one, because option two means his ego takes TWO losses.
