Could someone please explain to me exactly what these "right's" are?

I would be most appreciative. You see, every time I ask that question of a woman, I get a different answer. And if I ask a group of women (defined as any number greater than one), they start a debate among themselves.

Maybe an individual consensus might help.

First you need to define what exactly is an "individual consensus".

There are legal rights and then there are social rights.

So in this case, say a woman has a right to work the same job a man can work.

That doesn't actually mean she'll be hired for it, paid the same or be granted the same respect. There's the flip side where a woman-dominated traditional field, say OB/GYN or nursing, if a man wants a job there, he has to deal with the social bullshit.

For my part, there's not much the government can do about the legal rights when they exist.

But that's why individual women have to fight for whatever rights or respect they need/want/deserve in a social situation. Same way men fight for respect and rights and higher pay and promotions.

So it is different for each woman, and it's different for each man.

Translation: They want a free lunch and a free ride. WOMEN'S RIGHTS mean nothing else.

FYP..

Rights.

Not Right's.

"The Right's gnashing of teeth about limiting the Rights of others is to be expected."

Paid maternal leave.
Like in Sweden, 480 days.

Equal pay for equal work, bitches!

Interesting... Your questions tap into some issues that perplex me, too
For example (and this is not entirely related but it puzzles me + +) : Being an LJ's thread reader, I did some browsing on these issues :

And official statistics suggest that women's rights are more respected (at an institutional level) in the UK and other Commonwealth countries, as opposed to other european countries.
On the other hand, my personal view is that, paradoxically, there is a bit more misogyny in english-speaking countries, whereas many other Eu countries have moved beyond that

((not meant as a criticism of UK, Commonwealth, since they surclass other Eu countries in other areas))

For the most part, people ARE stupid.
Half of the population is below average intelligence.
You're unimpeachable evidence of that.

Your math skills are as bad as your ability to tell the truth. 1 person doesn't represent 1/2 of the population.

Here's another comment that ties a couple threads together.

Know what else has helped to lower wages?
Women entering the workforce, increasing the labor pool.

My math is dead on. Half of the population is below average intelligence.

At least you didn't try to deny being among the below average half.

That's not what you said. You said I am evidence of 1/2 the population.

You say a lot of ridiculous things.

Like you have no alts.

I'll explain it to you like I would a five year old.

There are two of us. Half of the population is below average intelligence.
Average means that half is below, half above.
YOU are a member of that below average half.

You still didn't deny that fact.
