"It's no secret that the super-rich hedge their bets when they contribute to candidates from both parties. Big banks, hedge fund managers, tycoons from all industries see these political donations as an investment, hoping that whoever is elected keeps the government off their backs.

"But what do you suppose rank-and-file Republicans would think if they knew that many of the same mega-donors who gave to Hillary Clinton are also bankrolling the campaign of Jeb Bush?"

I'm old and poor and will be taking ketchup, mustard, salt and pepper packets from fast food restaurants today during the debate.

Marco Rubio sends me form letters when I contact him.

Most real estate developers donate on both sides of the fence, so there's a good chance Trump is or will be bankrolling Clinton/Bush.

BTW, Clinton/Bush should do a coalition run, thereby ensuring continued Bush/Clinton ownership of the country.

Every politician does that.

It cost him some votes. And this isn't the time to piss voters off.

Twenty years ago my Democrat Representative made it clear to me Democrats weren't interested in middle age white males. And she lost her seat by 6 votes at the 1994 election. That be me, my wife, and 4 kids. I lost an election by one vote. It happens.

I know close elections happen all of the time. Did you think that politicians actually read what is sent to them? Blame it on the staffer that read your letter.

americanthinker=master of the obvious

Trump himself has stated in public that as a developer he has always contributed to both sides of political contests.

The debates piss me off. There should be a rule that you are not allowed to speculate on what your opponent will or will not do about the question posed to you. The candidate should only be able to address what their own stance on the subject is.

That would be sterile.

Professional politicians are great at not actually answering any questions. Going after each other is the only reason to watch.

It still irritates me. Politicians irritate me. None of them have the country's best interests at heart. Perhaps when they were green and thought they could be the change that would make this country what it once was but as they get a little time under their belt they seem to conform to he sleaze ball politicians that we know and don't love

That's the success of Trump in a nutshell.

Any thread now I start on the subject of politics trends to Trump and how he needs to be Palinized...

Pols who neglect and disrespect voters perish.

I was involved in politics a long time. People want to be respected whether the respect comes by letter or being left alone. Rubio doesn't get it. He's done and doesn't know it.

I blame the media. The media demands perfect, flawless candidates who don't exist, and most of us are too timid to embrace our flaws and errors and awful choices. The perfect response is AMAZING GRACE but what we do is embrace the bull shit.
