Opinions on my character? Does she get her own little space cruiser to fly around in as well as a lightsaber, transwarp teleporter and set of leather bondage wear to dress in while wandering the station?



Well I'll keep the ship in mind as I do your character outfitting....lightsaber hasn't envisioned them, but a vibro weapon is no problem...teleporters I haven't included that's a big change that needs to be discussed. Bondage leather no problem.

Question for Thread Writers

With everyone residing in Section 17 what are your thoughts on what the locals might call it? An unofficial name or nickname. We've had a few things happen, but nothing that would give it a distinct name.

So share your thoughts on what it should be called.

Also the war will be at the forefront in the weeks to come. You'll be among the frontier worlds and there will be battles. Taking the station back maybe a matter of pride for the aliens.

    • De'jar was born half Syreen and half human. This left her mother to raise her alone. Her father had been a human visiting them so he is probably unaware of her existence. She was raised as a Syreen though she was different in many ways. Syreen's did not judge or discriminate against her. They helped her to understand that being different is not a bad thing, and to accept herself as she was. It was better to embrace it than to ignore half of what she was.

No those are one of the other species on the station before Neons....Syreens and one of the newest characters will be their Ambassador to Section 17.

lol....That might be your building, but Section 17 is nice and your building isn't that bad...just not great.

The Pimmons

These friendly blue aliens were largely happy to travel the stars peacefully. Their settlements are known for being built only in empty planets, and all their military has been on a defense and patrol footing. The taking of the battlestation was one of the first offensives they've taken part in since the threat began.

They're a modern nation, but they remain tribal in many regards. Chiefs still get elected to their senate house and family ties matter a great deal. Most come from large families. They seem to like running farm planets with only basic manufacturing. They're known for their short work days and before going home they go to cafes where they enjoy a soda and ice cream like concoction. They'll debate philosophy, law, and who breeds the best livestock. They enjoy large meals with friends, and a visitor will leave feeling loved and full.

A carry over from their ancient days they enjoy using the vibro-axe and all warriors are issued one. Hunting to them is a large social event, and primitive weapons are often used though visitors are permitted to bring their customary hunting tools. They have a thriving merchant class who are responsible for the improvements in their fleets. They mostly build transports, but with the new conflict escorts are being made at a fast pace.

More then a few have come to the station with many as diplomats, but also merchants and adventurers. In section 17 you'll find cafe's and residents with gardens, and more then a few merchant stalls. There are males and females of the species and though they've been known to "interact" with humans they can't produce offspring.

Syreen

The Syreen are a race of bipedal hominids astonishingly similar to the Humans of the Empire. Physiologically and genetically the Syreen are similar to humans. They're visible difference with the skin tint is more bluish and their retinas reflect light like cats. Additionally, the typical Syreen is more comfortable in a slightly warmer and more humid environment.

Their homeworld, Syra is by all accounts a tropical Eden, again now, after over two centuries of terra farming. The Syreen are all female survivors of a now ancient civil war. They retreated to underground caves and preserved their culture and swore off violence. When they did return to their ideal surface as intellectuals and farmers using their droids to do much of the work. Their spreading through the stars was done more as exploration and they became fast friends with the Pimmons and are trade partners and mutually support each other in defense. Scientists understand why they share skin tints, but for very different reasons. For both species it's something that is celebrated.

Their surface habitats (cities) support thousands and are surrounded by farmland whenever possible. Non-Syreen live in suburbs based on their species and there have been human renegade and Pimmons settlements for generations. They spend their time enjoying intellectual pursuits letting their robots handle day to day life. They're very technologically advanced and while it remains closely guarded they have extensive knowledge of cloning.

Their religion is one of free love and females have many sexual relationships with other females even if bond to one partner. Open discussion and sharing is encouraged and there are many priestesses. For the lucky traveler "interaction" with a foreigner is looked on as a curious and enjoyable experience to be sought after. Curiously any hybrid children with human males don't have bluish skin.

Being intellectuals they're not ready for war, but being highly intelligent they're rushing to take on the threat and have engaged the enemy in a number of frontier skirmishes. They practice a martial art known as "Stuache" which is a form of stick fighting. Once only for competition it's been made deadly with including vibro weapons and blasters. With only the most basic weapons industry they're looking to buy arms and production templates. Their fast transport shuttles are being converted into Fast-Attack Assault Raider.

On the station and section 17 you'll find stalls selling a variety of items from hand crafted art several different types of work droids. They're always happy to trade for technology. There are several Stuache studios being setup, and matches are regular. Priestesses and diplomats mingle with the military, and merchants and prostitutes mingle with the masses.


These happened to be some Blue People I liked and I hope you find them interesting. Though I haven't said directly there are many species visiting the station, and Fleet doesn't just recruit humans. So if you have an idea feel free to pitch it whether you want to play the species or create one for the background of the story. More will be added though. Let me know what you think. These are the two principal allies in the region I've been referring too.

Ambassador De’jar Capella

** While you're not the sole ambassador to the Empire you're the head diplomat of your people in Section 17 of the spacestation so you'll be interacting with other writers. Each Section has it's own ambassador or diplomatic contact besides those meeting with the admiral and their staff. Also your home is the Syreen Colony is named Deni Xelni, and our mother still calls it home. It's a highly successful terraform project while many unique industries and still a small population.


Occupation Assets:

1 Embassy Building in Section 17 complete with office space, banquet hall, gardens and temple. It is directly next to the embassy living quarters a building taken over completely by Syreens. Many Syreens regardless of status call the building home as they live and work on the station including military personnel.

1 Staff consisting of 100 diplomats, 300 various staffers, and 100 different kinds of security personnel. (85% of the staff are Syreen).

  • 1 Escort Ship (highly-powered, heavily-armed warship) A Syreen version of an Empire Brigantine class the Ser'rath is a new craft dedicated to diplomatic missions and is fully crewed. It's modified to have additional space to conduct diplomatic and rescues missions.
  • 2 Luxury Living quarters overlooking the embassy and it's gardens. Combined into one section the living quarters had advanced security, a spa like bathroom, a large dinning room, and office space off the master bedroom.
  • 1 Dedicated Bodyguard named Xarphale. She is a friend of your mother's and trained you in the classic weapons since childhood. While you have assigned security she is never far from you, and even in your residence she sleeps nearby (you had to convince her to take a bed).

Educational Background Assets:

  • 1 large collection of intellectual thoughts and philosophies on scrolls, in books and on data files.
  • 5 Intellectual student and teacher robes.
  • 1 traditional wood study desk with many drawers.
  • 1 Set of priestess scrolls for prayer and daily living
  • 6 Priestess daggers for every day work and protection. Curvy handmade blades.
  • 1 Shrine similar to the one your mother and other tended in the community. Good for prayer and meditation it has plants around it and flowing water when put in place.
  • 12 Holy symbols for wearing and hanging up.
  • 1 Set of training equipment which includes pairs of the following: training sticks, light swords, striking posts, training armor, and traditional bows with quivers of arrows.
  • 1 Standard Combat rifle designed from an Empire template the S-17 actually takes a larger round since the makers were used to hunting rifles. You have 4 magazines that carry 30 rounds. Your guards can provide you with ammo.
  • 4 Fleet blast pistols 2 heavy 2 light. They're common in the Fleet but these are well made and deadly.
  • 18 large sleep pillows made from traditional materials by hand. Very soft and good for relaxing on and sleeping.

Employment Background Assets:

  • 1 Scribe data slate which holds a great deal of information and has plenty about the politics and positions of the state.
  • 33 different robes of state
  • 3 Well trained assistants to aid you. They're your personnel choir a priestess, warrior, and intellectual.
  • 2 Encrypted communication computers
  • 30 Gold Chalices of celebration for holidays and special occasions.
  • 4 Bookshelves of books on diplomacy
  • 1 High level contact in your home worlds Parliament.

Law Enforcement Background Assets:

  • 1 Beverage tester that detects most harmful poisons.
