What would you build?

Do they burn?

Oh.

FIRE RATING:

UL94HB (Underwriters laboratory Yellow Card Number): signifying that EverBlock material embodies a slow burn rate of 2” per minute for a 2” wide by 0.5” in thickness test sample. Furthermore, UL94HB signifies that the material will not flare up when exposed to an open flame.

Hot wire ignition rating: 3

Everything burns. Being in a fire surrounded by plastic blocks does not sound like fun. The UL rating does not address what makes up the smoke when the blocks are smoldering. It could be a toxic mess.

Its an old idea that came and went. In the 70s they were used to build houses, but they quickly deteriorate in the Sun.

8" x 8" x 16" CMU . . . $1.49 each.

And they don't burn, fade, deform or other annoyances.

Paint them any shade you like.

Discounts for bulk purchases.

You don't necessarily have to build a house.

Adult-sized Lego.

I would probably do with it what I did with real Lego as a kid: get a bunch of blocks, completely fail to build anything that looked like what was in my head and never use them again.

Yeah, I'd build a multi coloured rectangular house without a roof yet with small window and door openings oddly placed, just like I envisioned living in when I was 5.

Roofless is a good choice.

Those blocks are going to be off gassing for the next fifteen thousand years.

I'd just get an assortment, and build things as needed. Guests for dinner? Build some chairs. Start a jigsaw puzzle? Build a table large enough for it.

I thought you were going to build yourself some dinner guests.

I think it would be especially handy for young families. Build a crib, a playpen, a changing table and a high chair for starters, then change them around as the kids grow.

Sex dungeon bunker.

That was easy. (The answer is always, "Sex dungeon bunker.")

Hmmm…. If they meet code, these would work well for semi-permanent office space inside larger buildings, like a break room or a foreman's office in a factory. If a really big job comes in you just rebuild it in a better location.

I had to look these up via a search engine. We call them Breeze Blocks, in case any other Brits need a translation.
