Looking for the right word

Hello. I am developing a Latina character with a voluptuous (not fat!) build. Years ago a Spanish friend of mine told me they have a word for that which roughly translates to "well-cared for," meaning she came from a good family and/or she was well fed. It was term of endearment for a woman who was maybe not perfect but still beautiful; not a bone-thin model, but not a BBW either. Have any of you heard of this? I posted the question in the Spanish section but have not gotten an answer.

GUAPA is the word I'd use. Its for ordinary attractive rather than for celebrity grade beauty. It means youre healthy with normal features and without any abnormal impairments or blemishes or cosmetics/dress problems. Translation: I can take you home to meet mom.

Here in Mexico we use the term curvilínea to refer a not perfect woman but with a curvy and beautiful shape. Maybe this could help you.

In Spain we had a medical school full of students from everywhere, and I was constantly exposed to local words I had no idea of. And many are difficult to translate and make no sense beyond Zaragoza. But guapa was what people said of ordinary young women. Like, Hey hotstuff.

Or bonita, but I don't know that either indicates zaftig, just beauty.

And google translates German Zaftig into Spanish - Zaftig. LOL.

Interesting . I spent a week in Zaragosa . Spain is a wonderful place.
Guapa might work but I like the sound of curvilinea. . I need to understand the sensitivities and sentiment better before I decide.
My impression is that it was a term of endearment.
