Used to go fishing with my dad all the time. Catfish and trout stocked at a lake at our summer cabin. Haven't done that in years.

Threw em back. They were largemouth bass but on the smaller side. The only fish I've kept this year was a silver perch. Thems are good eatin. I caught a few catfish earlier this year where the Detroit river and Lake Erie meet. I threw em back. I wouldn't want to eat Detroit river cats.

Since half of my family is from New Orleans, catfish never ever go unappreciated. Add in some hush puppies.

The 4 meter rule was implemented today. Signs everywhere.

$300 on the spot fine for smoking near restaurants, cafes.

$5k fine for all businesses.

We've had smoking bans forever, so that's just fairly sane. I'm hypersensitive to it, causes migraines in me, so I just didn't go out anyway, but I once worked in an office where everyone smoked, no way to get away.

It is odd, SSM would be something that I'd have thought Australia would have leaped toward before the rest of the world...but politics are crazed and I think we're seeing the death throes of social conservative thought doing its best, thrashing around on the deck and trying to bite. It's out of the water though.

Only problem is they are bottom feeders and the local wildlife department recommends we don't eat them out of the river due to the shit the factories used to dump. They've sense cleaned the river pretty good but the sediment is still there.

We have other lakes though were we can fish for cats that are good to eat.

It is an essentially 2 steps forward 1 step back system.

Eventually meaning when someone finds a way to break the NRA's power to game the American political system. Obama isn't some fucking janitor who just wandered into the White House by mistake, it's not like he just forgot this might be a problem, if it was easy it would be done by now.

Basically if someone with Obama's brains and skill-set hasn't found a way to accomplish something in the American political system, the smarter sort of person would be asking him why. I don't believe there's a lot of people out there, including Aussie politicos, who are really in a place to tell him his job.
