Early indications with 30% of the vote in are 60% no, 40% yes.

This is a case where the so-called "cure" isn't any better than the illness. Iceland did it (albeit a much much smaller economy) and they're predicted to have 4%+ growth this year. The Irish should have done the same.

The so called cure has, so far, made things worse while causing untold misery for average Greeks. Fuck the IMF, the EU and the global banking system.

Since the start of the externally imposed austerity measures, the Greek debt has nearly doubled and unemployment has sky-rocketed.

This has been true for nearly every attempt to "Cure" a bad economy through austerity.

In your expert socialist opinion, seaniepoo...

...once your fellow travelers, the Greek socialists, tell your socialist EU to fuck off, we ain't going to pay back the graff we took from you, who will they turn to next to pay their socialist bills:

Tyrannical Putin (as if Russia can afford to finance their brethren statist freeloaders)...

...or Communist China (whose own statist ship is in the process of sinking)?

One thing for sure is freeloader Sean won't pay their bills.

Pay back who? What are the IMF and the Eu going to do, invade?

This doesn't help the situation................

Tax evasion and corruption is a problem in Greece.[1][2] Tax evasion has been described by Greek politicians as "a national sport"—with up to €30 billion per year going uncollected.[3]

Political corruption is acknowledged as a significant problem by many observers, but some believe its size has been overstated by international media. According to Transparency International Greece’s National Integrity Assessment 2012, the problem of corruption in Greece is the confluence of many factors, including a weak enforcement of the law, a lack of audits, the absence of codes of conduct, the non-transparency of government activities, an inefficient bureaucracy, government impunity and broad discretionary powers and a lack of public awareness.[4]

According to Transparency International's Global Corruption Barometer 2013, 90% of surveyed households consider political parties to be corrupt or extremely corrupt—ranking as the most corrupt institution in Greece. Furthermore, 39% of the surveyed households believe that the level of corruption has increased a lot, and 46% of surveyed households find government efforts in the fight against corruption to be very ineffective.[5]

The government’s corruption efforts have not been evaluated as effective, according to several sources, which has been attributed to lax enforcement of anti-corruption legislation and the ineffectiveness of anti-corruption agencies. Anti-corruption agencies have been hindered by excessive political influence and continuous replacement of staff. Recent involvement of high-ranking public officials in corruption cases has been reported in the media.[6][7

Like most places, Dmitrios Publiko isn't the one doing the tax evading, it's the global multi nats and the rich. But, as usual, the poor pay the price for it.

Actually, seaniepoo, as I have always stood:

I favor with extreme prejudice your fellow Greek travelers saying fuck you to their fellow travelers (like you) in the EU.

Alas...

...that's just independent, individualistic moi.

But, you ignore the only pertinent question if that happens:

Which socialists does a socialist like yourself...

...favor your socialist Greek brethren to turn to next to collectively finance their socialist bills?

'Cause you know, "daddy"...

It'd be really cool if the Greeks could say fuck you to all the socialists they've already borrowed from to finance their own way into the almost complete destitution they've earned themselves now...

...and then go their own independent way, individual Greeks working hard to independently dig themselves out of this collective hole that's almost completely swallowed up them and their latest socialist regime, and some day prosper as an great example of independent financial success.

Alas, seaniepoo...

...even socialist you can see the glaringly obvious independent/individual problem in that scenario, right?

For...

...it's the very same issue that has them fighting for their socialist survival now.

So c'mon, comrade...

...help your socialist bros out:

Which of your fellow comrade cuntries will your Greek socialist brethren turn to next to finance their socialist utopia...

...eh, seaniepoo?

Well, they could nationalise the oil tanker fleets that have been avoiding paying billions in taxes for the last fifty years for a start.

You actually do self-see yourself as the caring, protective "daddy" here...

...to the Greeks' "poor", abused-by-the-big-bad-wolves, "little girl".

Geezus...

...fvck
