He's a good choice.

I don't hate him. I think we need to stop thinking about the top spot on the ticket as a win for one side or the other but the best person to run the asylum in a way that things get done. He strikes me as a person that could figure out how not to alienate the "other side." Reagan was no rocket surgerist, but he did have experience dealing with California bureaucrats and was affable and reasonably well liked by people that disagreed with him.

Webb would certainly replace Hilary as Most Conservative Democrat. He might be able to work with Republicans, but I don't think he'll work well with other Democrats.
