So, pretty much our breakfast-time temps. Lovely for a nice walk, to get back in before it gets really hot.
Today has been the hottest July day for ten years, peaking at nearly 37.
We aren't used to it, nor is our infrastructure - rail lines buckling so speed restrictions, delays and cancellations, and air conditioning of homes is still rare.
I've lived in much hotter countries and was used to higher temperatures then, but now these temperatures are life-threatening for older Brits (older than me, that is...).
