Will Republicans take the ACA off their wish list now?

Two years from now, assuming Hillary continues to shoot herself in the foot, the GOP should have a majority in both houses of Congress and the White House, and they can repeal Obamacare and otherwise undo much of the damage Obama has done and is still doing.

Hillary could blow her head off and still win the election.

OP: we still haven't let Roe v. Wade go........so ACA has at least a century of the GOP bashing their brains into a brick wall over it.

You could just bribe Hillary.

What damage is ACA doing exactly?

Looks like you missed the recent polls showing her beating everyone straight up.

If the election were held today, she would probably win. That's why I included what I highlighted above.

And everybody is gaining on her, even the unannounced candidates.

This came to my attention on Twitter when a supposed Christian whined about SCOTUS affirming the ACA.

Q: either way, the poor are being taken care of by the rest of us through force. Which Christian value is this?

A: Cor.13:13, Col.3:14, 1 Tim.1:5, 2 Pet. 1:5-7, 3 John 1:5-6, 1 Cor. 13:4, Matt. 25:34-36,40, 1 John 3:17-18

Like saving how many American lives? Shame anyone would want to do that.

The longer it continues in effect, the more even teabaggers will understand its benefit to someone they love and the more "duh" moments that will be experienced across the land.

People were denied insurance for preexisting conditions. Some insurance companies denied coverage because a parent had a heart attack, a grandparent had cancer, a sibling was born with cerebral palsy.

Obamacare is like all the jobs Obama created. It exists on paper, mostly. Both are like porn...paper pussy. And advertising...paper pizza.

Di you have any reliable documentation as to how often these things happened?

Take away health care coverage from sixteen million people? Yeah, that's gonna make 'em real popular.

Putting more power in the insurance industry, causing tighter margins for hospitals, increasing the nursing shortage (I work for the third largest healthcare company in the U.S., they are talking about making LPNs the standard in the wards instead of RNs to combat the lack of reimbursement) etc.

The most stark thing I've noticed is that acute care censuses systemwide are up instead of down. The Aca promised a migration of treatment into the outpatient realm that simply hasn't happened.

All of the above is because the healthy young people have no money and so choose not to cover the health expenses of the sick older smokers.

Yea but box isn't complaining because ACA is a pro insurance republican HC program. He's complaining about Obama doing lots of damage to the country.

Kinda wondering what exactly he meant by that.

Miles basically nails this, with the current batch of alternatives Hillary pretty much needs to avoid eating a baby in front of a live studio audience to win this. Some of the people who are gaining aren't gonna win. As much as I would love to be wrong I have zero faith my country to nominate Bernie Sanders much less elect him president. That shit ain't happening. Trump'll drop out as soon as it stops being fun, Carson's a joke, 9 of them have approval of below 5% (most being 2's and 3's) which means it's literally the margin of error, could be as high as seven or eight but it could literally be zero.

A majority also might not cut it. I have little faith in Democrats to nut up and straighten their spine but you need 60 votes in the Senate if the other team wants to play rough. And you can look at the history of the Senate History by numbers depending on when exactly you want to start counting from Democrat Super Majorities come around every so often (it seems to be about 15 to 20 years on average) Republican super majorities are virtually unheard of after 1900. But you'd be right if you said Democrats are pussies and would never do that.

However harm it's done, laughable.

As much as I hate to say this in some cases once is enough because somethings (take police brutality) are really like roaches. Even today where everybody is carrying a camera in their pocket its safe to say that for ever one time you hear about it there are at least three more times that it happened (probably far more.) And Insurance companies, at least in my experience, do not have to give you the reason they denied you coverage they just do it.

I'm also not a big fan of feel good legislature but if it's not happening then telling companies they can't just means the Library of Congress has some extra pieces of paper that mean nothing. If it is happening then a problem is solved. It's a no harm or win scenario.

The Insurance Industry already had so much power that a little more didn't hurt. Single Payer would have cut their feet out from under them but that's socialism and wasn't on the table in any serious way. Maybe I just moved to Communist Russia but if I didn't the solution a nursing shortage is to pay nurses more, open more training facilities and get more goddamn nurses. I assume you have some documentation of the lack of reimbursement as something new?

I'm curious about acute care being up, I don't doubt it but I'm curious about the documentation and how much it's gone up.

Well then the young get fined. Now we can argue that the fine is too low. It probably is but that's an easy to fix problem.

People have to be eligible in order to receive ACA. In Alabama, for instance, individuals making less than $11,000 per year aren't eligible for Obamacare because they don't make enough money to file taxes on. And if they don't file taxes then they don't recieve healthcare benefits.

Affordable health care for EVERYONE was and is a lie. If so much as one person can not get Obamacare then Obama and the political party he represents have, indeed, lied big time to the American people.

Yes they have to be eligible, being eligible means being American. Every single person living in America is eligible. So you're wrong right out of the bat. Your second point is similarly bullshit. The IRS is a federal agency unless you can provide some proof that Alabama is somehow magically exempt there is no amount of money under which you don't need to file taxes.

So since everybody can get Obamacare Obama's not a liar and di not lie at all. However I'll play along. You mean not everybody gets subsidies, that was never the claim. It was everybody beneath a certain threshold. So that's a lie to. If you mean the you can keep your doctor bit fine, file it under lie. The reality is that he really never learned how stupid Americans are and thinks that since he's brilliant everybody else must be (I make the same mistake) and failed to talk down to the American People and treat them like he was Big Bird or Barney the Fucking Dinosaur and break down every little thing to the point of Bah- At is bat!

No, they are NOT covered; why is that so hard to understand? There certainly is a threshold and if an individual makes under that threshold he or she is not eligible. Obamacare was originally sold as affordable healthcare for everyone, but the facts of the matter is not everyone can get into the system. It's not bullshit, it is the truth. Not everyone is eligible for subsidies because not everyone makes the minimum required for subsidies.

You progressive liberals somehow forgot to mention this to the public, instead you knowing lied to us all just to get one of your wet dreams by the American people. But in the end it's okay, right? As long as Gary Gay and Quincy Queer can be legally wed what difference does it matter if just one poor person can't get health insurance, right?

Right???

Nope...the only threshold is not filing your paperwork.

Show me the minimum requirement rule....because i don't think it exists.

You progressive liberals somehow forgot to mention this to the public,

No we didn't...we point blank came out and said "ok well since you don't want everyone covered I guess we will go with a republican HC system because it's the only thing that has a chance in hell at passing. "

And you all shreeked "communism!!!" for years......NOW you want UHC? Liars...all of you.

instead you knowing lied to us all just to get one of your wet dreams by the American people. But in the end it's okay, right? As long as Gary Gay and Quincy Queer can be legally wed

No UHC would have been the wet dream and the American people would have been considerably better off both medically and financially.

what difference does it matter if just one poor person can't get health insurance, right?

Right???

No that's the RW.....if liburhul progressives had their way we would all be covered and that top 1/10th of 1% that own 1/2 the country would be footing the whole fucking bill.

I doubt it. I just don't think they'll ever learn.

They got a big victory on coal today. The court ruled that the EPA didn't take the costs associated with coal companies reducing mercury and other pollutants in considering their guidelines. So much for the Constitution. It would cost those scumbag Koch brothers too much to clean up their act. Even China thinks coal is too dirty. Coal is dying as an energy source and the right wing members of the court just gave the Kochs an early Christmas gift, and gave the the rest of America more cancer and lung disease. Happy Holidays! David and Charles should have "Aqualung" as their ring tone. It'll make them smile.

Oh, you mean not everybody has insurance? Well that's different from not being eligible for Obamacare. Show citation of this threshold beneath which you are not eligible, google is your friend.

No, we didn't forget to mention anything. We made the mistake of thinking we could talk to you like adults instead of preschoolers. Next time we'll learn. While Gary Gay and Quincy Queer is an entirely separate issue that is great. If a few people don't have health care it's unfortunate but the question is if more people have it now than did the day before.

So yes that is precisely right if one poor person can't have health care at the end of the day who cares? (Though in reality that one person would be rediculously famous and getting so many donations he'd think he won the lottery.)

Any other silly points.
