According to FEC records, Holt has given a total of $8,500 to Cruz and his political action committee since 2012, $1,750 to Paul’s PAC, and $1,500 to Santorum. Holt also contributed to Mitt Romney’s 2012 campaign, along with a host of other Republicans including: Rep. Steve King of Iowa, Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas, Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona, former Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, and former Sen. Todd Akin.

They closed down their site the weekend after the South Carolina massacre.

They were not so shy about posting fake stories about black on white crime.

The site has attracted the attention of national news media.

They convinced someone to murder.

The danger of "race-mixing" has been a consistent theme for the group since the days of the White Citizens Councils. "God is the author of racism," said one story on the CCC's website in 2001. "God is the One who divided mankind into different types. ... Mixing the races is rebelliousness against God." After the NAACP declared its boycott of South Carolina in 1999 because the state continued to fly the Confederate battle flag over its Capitol dome, the CCC distributed a mock advertisement proclaiming, "South Carolina Now Has Whiter Beaches!" The Citizens Informer item urged whites to vacation in South Carolina and "enjoy a civil liberty that has been denied to them for many years at hotels, restaurants and beaches: the freedom to associate with just one's own people."

Along with theological arguments, the Citizens Informer has published countless stories detailing "scientific" evidence for white people's inherent superiority. Writing about Brown vs. Board of Education in 2004, contributor Michael Polignano noted that many commentators were using the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court ruling striking down public school segregation to talk about "how far America still falls short of racial equality." According to Polignano, that lack of progress "should surprise no one, because racial inequality is genetic and cannot be changed by social programs. ... Blacks are on average probably less intelligent than Whites and more aggressive, impulsive and prone to psychopathologies." To prove this point, a 2005 article in the Citizens Informer written in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina described "[a]ccounts of little children — girls and boys —being gang raped, rescue vans and copters being repeatedly fired upon by mobs of violent blacks, anarchy, chaos, confusion, looting even by black police officers."

More recently, the CCC has focused very heavily on battling non-white immigration. The group jumped quite early on the "threat" it perceived was posed by immigration, holding a rally against immigration in Cullman, Ala., in 1998 that featured major nativist hate group leaders Barbara Coe and Glenn Spencer, both of whom worked to pass the punishing California anti-immigrant Proposition 187 (the rally was also attended by an unrobed Klan leader and a top official of the Federation for American Immigration Reform). The CCC has held rallies nearly every year since then against immigration and the topic is addressed regularly at the CCC's biannual conferences, which have included as participants CCC leaders and prominent racists including Jared Taylor, editor of the anti-black and anti-Latino race science newsletter American Renaissance, and Don Black, founder of the first hate site on the web, Stormfront.org.

Whereas, look at where Hillary gets her contributions. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...s-despite-Hillary-s-support-gay-marriage.html

When it comes to the finances of the two political parties, comparing campaign finance records on moral grounds is just pointless and silly.

Nobody gives a fuck about where the money is coming from, as long as it won't make them look bad or likely land them in jail for taking it. It's the reason you only see these funds returned once the campaign reports end up tied to scandal publicly. It's not genuine moral outrage, it's self-preservation.

And Hillary Clinton is, by far, the sleaziest of sleazy politicians when it comes to campaign finance. The entire reason the Clinton Foundation exists is so they can use "charitable contributions" and "speaking fees" that just so happen to be provided by their campaign donors as a means for livelihood when they aren't running for something or in office in order to flout those pesky, pesky campaign finance laws.

And this isn't the first time their sleazy dealings with the "foundation" have come up. They always come up and the Clintons always say they'll stop taking the money. And they do. Until they return to private life. And then that money just keeps coming in like clockwork, as if by magic.

I noticed that you used the word "sleaziest", as opposed to "oiliest", which would more accurately describe a Republican.

Three down, how many to go? Rand was already unelectable, but this makes Cruz and Santorum history as well.

That's what Christians do - try to buy politicians in hope that they can influence their opinions on things like gay marriage. You seem to think that Hillary must have actively courted their contribution, despite her pronounced views.

Since this donor is located in Africa, she probably did solicit them. She also takes money from Saudi Arabia and, besides being a conflict of interest, that nation is one of the worst on either gay or women's rights.

Santorum was never going to be competitive. Attendance at one of his recent events was in the single digits. The only reason he got as far as he did in 2012 was everyone even slightly aware of the basics of social behavior, including the GOP primary electorate, hated Romney and gave EVERYONE other than him at least a chance. Santorum was simply the last guy Romney got around to nuking with money.

Cruz, at least in the GOP primary cycle of the phase, isn't hurt by this. Given the type of voter he courts, I wouldn't be surprised if it helps him.

How does that make any sense? Is she more likely to solicit contributions from a church in Africa than, say, Australia?

Institutional successor to the Southern Citizens' Councils of the late 1960s and early 1970s, AKA "the Uptown Klan."

It occurred to me yesterday something. The Republican Party has been hijacked by the very same people that the Republican Party was formed to oppose and resist. That's Jefferson Davis's last laugh from the grave. What else is there to conclude? The GOP opposes lowering the Confederate flag, associates with neo-Confederates and Southern Baptist fundamentalists, with Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Oral Roberts, Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart, John Hagee (yeah, the guy so envious that women orgasm and scream profanity with other men, but not him, that he wants to criminalize "profane" expressions of pleasure), etc., included former segregationists like Claude Kirk and Strom Thurmond, and opposes a living wage while trying to bust unions (Ike would have something to say to them about that, as would another Republican....a socialist chap named Horace Greeley)....yeah.....the GOP has devolved from the anti-slavery party to the pro-slavery party. Why else oppose a living wage?

He also fails to see the difference between a political campaign/party contribution and a contribution to a non-profit.

Of course, like the Sith, only Repubiltards deal in absolutes.

The Koch Brothers are backing this push to make the Party of Lincoln the Party of Jefferson Davis....why? Because the freedom to enslave workers and pay them next to nothing would be great for them. Freedom is slavery and slavery is freedom to them....Orwellian much?

If you are referring to the Clinton foundation and contributions to Hillary's campaign, there is little difference. A non-profit is required to report expenditures, but the Clintons will just lie about that. Lying is one thing they are good at doing.

The Clinton Foundation does not share a bank account Hiliary's campaign for president. Just because you give money to the Foundation doesn't mean you're giving money to the campaign. They're two separate legal entities.

You probably missed this in your Mittens 101 class of corporations are people, my friend class.

Precisely

Anyone who believes there is an honest to God firewall between the money that going to the Clintons' "charitable foundation" and the money they use for political/personal purposes just is completely naive when it comes to how the money end of how campaigns work.

If you want a real rude awakening to this, it's not hard. Volunteer to be a finance intern on a campaign for either party and actually pay attention to what happens around you. There is absolutely no attempt to hide it, except on paper. (And for all but the most incompetent campaigns, even "volunteers" like unpaid interns are required to sign a nondisclosure agreement, which makes you civilly liable if you give their financial or field data to an outside party, even if that outside party is, say, an FEC official.)

Can Hillary, Bill, or Chelsea Clinton directly obtain funds from the "foundation"--aside from salaries? No. But pay attention to the riders they have when doing "speaking engagements" or other things for the foundation. They're like the riders rock stars or Middle Eastern dictators have. And they aren't cheap.

Also, it's a way of maintaining and managing your influence. If you fall out of touch with a donor for any period of time, there are so many moving parts you basically have to redevelop that contact from scratch. If, however, they are CONSTANTLY engaging you, whether through your "charitable" work or your campaigns, then that relationship is always fresh. And influence is as good as money. Why?

If you have sufficient influence with a world government, you can have a major multinational corporation hire you as a lobbyist to exert that influence on their behalf the second you stop pretending to be a "public servant."

Outside of their "speaking fees," how do the Clintons benefit from influence laundering? Remind me how their daughter makes a living again.

If you're reading World "Net" Daily there's literally no hope for you. There's 345 entries on Media Matters. There's 108 pages on Right Wing Watch.

If you believe that bullshit I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I need to sell you.

I try to avoid biased sources, but this one is quoting a world-renowned expert. I can believe him, regardless of what site is quoting him.

And, I certainly don't believe the site I am linking to is as bad as those you have mentioned.

ETA: They were caught in some of their chicanery and have had to refile five years worth of tax returns. http://www.reuters.com/article/2015...clinton-taxes-exclusive-idUSKBN0NE0CA20150423

Were you aware of that?

No you don't. Your "expert" is a pathetic hack. He writes for the Washington Times which doesn't even qualify as a tabloid. He writes for the hate site that is Brietbart. Hell, his own fucking company's website is shitty AND broken. Finally, that whole article was "written" by known racist Jerome Corsi and if I have to tell you how that scumbag is you're a bigger piece of shit than I thought.

And yes I was aware of that. In fact, if you read the article you'll find:

The unsettled numbers on the tax returns are not evidence of wrongdoing but tend to undermine the 990s role as a form of public accountability, experts in charity law and transparency advocates told Reuters.

Some people work towards helping people. Some people work toward helping people closer to becoming informed, and enlightened. Some people fund raise for good causes.

Some people help a network to function, by being there to listen, see, and communicate important information.

The people who need the network to survive, appreciate the efforts of the network.

"The foundation now includes 11 major initiatives, focused on issues as divergent as crop yields in Africa, earthquake relief in Haiti and the cost of AIDS drugs worldwide. In all, the Clintons’ constellation of related charities has raised $2 billion, employs more than 2,000 people and has a combined annual budget of more than $223 million."
