Assembling the electronic components of a car can be extremely difficult (if not impossible) without a visual reference of what you're doing.

Not to mention that some of the construction requires power tools and blowtorch welding, which is obviously very dangerous blindfolded.

But that is a useful and possibly life-saving skill for use at night on a battlefield when your personal weapon jams.

Modern automobiles are far more complex than guns and are not intended to be field stripped.

Back in the 1920s, Ford mechanics used to disassemble and reassemble Model Ts during a car show, to demonstrate interchangeability of parts. Many of their competitors' automobiles needed hand fitting of the parts and weren't always interchangeable.

But they did it with their eyes open. It might have been possible to dismantle and reassemble a Model T blindfolded, but anything more complex or more modern? Very unlikely.
