Iranian nuclear fuel stockpiles grew by a massive 20% over the past 18 months of negotiations between Iran and world powers, a report last month by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has revealed.

News that Iran has been busily expanding its stockpiles contradicts claims by US President Barack Obama that the Islamic Republic had "frozen" its nuclear program during the last year and a half of negotiations.

Obama is either a liar or an idiot for believing anything the mullahs tell him. Or both.

You think maybe it was 'bad intel'? "W" says it is rampant from the CIA.;)

I couldn't find a link to verify this story until I tried spelling it "nucular".

Despite the alarming discovery, the IAEA's report noted there was "no evidence that Iran was moving toward a nuclear weapon."

Sources familiar with the report speculated that the rise may be the result of a technical malfunction, while others claim Iran's ayatollahs were building up stocks in case the lengthy negotiations with the West fail to yield a deal.

The U.S. State Department said Iran's stockpile levels were allowed to fluctuate under the terms of the joint provisional agreement signed in early April.

"Iran can fluctuate its numbers in terms of the stockpile. They can go up or they can go down, as long as at the end of a fixed date they are back down below a number," State Department spokesman Marie Harf told reporters on Tuesday, adding the fluctuation would not be an obstacle to completing a final agreement.

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Geneva Saturday to discuss how the excess fuel reserves would be destroyed, the State Department said.

CNN quoted a senior U.S. official Tuesday as saying the IAEA's findings will not hinder the nuclear talks.

"It's fair to say it's something we're watching. But the notion that it's some major obstacle is not accurate," the official said in response to the assessment that Iran's nuclear fuel stockpile was 20% larger.

While admitting the IAEA's findings were "less than ideal," the official said, Iran's "whole [nuclear] program is less than ideal." He said Tehran was still "in compliance" with the limitations imposed on it as part of the interim agreement.

:D Too funny

Think he read any of those articles?

I'm guessing not. He probably didn't bother to read this either:

Reuters put it another way: "The United States, European allies and even Israel generally agree on three things about Iran's nuclear program: Tehran does not have a bomb, has not decided to build one, and is probably years away from having a deliverable nuclear warhead

The item is 26 months old and says Iran is years away from building a nuclear bomb, but they are and have been working on one.

And smileys in my posts mean whatever I intend them to mean. means "this is scary."

Bush was either a liar or an idiot for believing anything the evangelicals told him. Or both.

Eek.

He wouldn't have been a liar for believing somebody, but he was stupid, especially for letting it guide his policies.
