Personally, I enjoy the laid back pace, as well as the lack of 4 cut & paste threads/day by the usual suspects, the lack of 3 threads on the same topic started by 3 people, etc.

I prefer that it remain a separate board.

Eyer threatened to leave Lit if they split off this board from the General Board, and there were probably several votes in favor of him leaving Lit forever.

But he didn't keep his word. Not that I wanted him to go, but he lost credibility in my eyes.

Busybody and NeverendingMe are obnoxious, but easy to put on ignore. I would rather see what they are up to.

The General Board is the most busy section, so it is beneficial is some of the specific topics can be off loaded.

I don't ignore anyone either and it wouldn't need to be offloaded if they didn't make 100 "I hate Obama" threads a day each.....

I agree though it is better sorted out of that mix.

Over joyed. I don't think there are many if any alts over here which is a damn good thing no matter how you try to slice and dice it. Alts are very rarely good for a forum. This was a huge win.

Which again is a good thing. For the longest time it was impossible to get any fresh blood in that place because it was a toxic mess filled with scum like you, koala, Vette, LJ, UD (on his bad days), me (on my bad days), KRC and a few others who would make a point of chasing anybody new away. Now the majority of the rude people have migrated here. And lets not pretend that when you've got four threads on the same subject that it's not mindless.
