What would be the "correct" way to spell 'jizz'? A shortened form of jism. "I coated Becky's face with my jizz."

Would it be "jis" or "giz" or "jizz"?

A humorous question, to be sure!

I vote for jizz. While I have seen jizz in many stories, I have never seen jis or giz.

I've always seen jizz. Of course there are a myriad of other words for it. Even semen.

I've seen "jism"

I could phrase that better - I've seen "jism" used when writing.

...I could still phrase that better... Oh, never mind :)

"jism" is in the Urban Dictionary too--but the OP asked about "jizz" which is also in the Urban Dictionary (amusingly, though, the OP posted that the four-letter "jizz" was a short form of the four-letter word "jism").

From a reading POV I don't care between Jizz, Jism, jiz....but tell you what, the word "spunk" can be enough for me to lose interest, just one of those words that make me go "ugh"

going off topic

Here in Oz a "spunk" is a hot young girl (of age, naturally), and "spunky" is very complimentary.

eg: La Minogue has always been a spunk - how does she keep on doing that?

But "spunk" for come? Totally agree with you on that one - that seems to be quite a Brit usage, from what I can see?

- mind you, if spoken with an upper crust English accent, it starts to work...

Yes, definitely a Brit thing if you watch any British porn the women all say cunt and spunk.

The ole British porn I have seen refers to "spend" which also has a totally different and non-porn meaning.

IIRC, when I went looking I wasn't able to determine any one true spelling. I suppose that's the way it is with impolite slang. I had to leave a note to myself to use "jism" just to make sure I stayed consistent. I suppose for the m-less version I would have to go with "jizz".

Oh, the things I learn on here -- and learn when I start digging deeper into things I read on here.

"jism" is a Hindi word that means "body". http://dict.hinkhoj.com/words/meaning-of-jism-in-english.html

The English etymology of "jism" (sometimes spelled "jissom") is pretty obscure. First reference is 1842, meaning "energy, strength", and 1899, meaning "semen".

"Jazz" appears to be a related word:

Probably ultimately from Creole patois jass "strenuous activity," especially "sexual intercourse" but also used of Congo dances, from jasm (1860) "energy, drive," of African origin (compare Mandingo jasi, Temne yas), also the source of slang jism.
If the truth were known about the origin of the word 'Jazz' it would never be mentioned in polite society. ["Étude," Sept. 1924]

How exactly does that work? Probably not well on white paper, I imagine. Unless it's like invisible ink and you have to heat it up over a light bulb to see the letters...

You went there! That was exactly the thought I had... it would clag the nib, I think
