Pending

So I submitted my first story this morning. I did it on a whim, and I've never published any writing before. Anyway, long story short, I've been checking my pending status at an unreasonably frequent rate. I was just curious as to what the average wait time was on the pending status? It would be nice to know if he wait time is days, weeks, or months....

2 days from submission has been the norm for quite a while now.

If you submitted this morning, ( the 19th ) it should go live on the 21st.

I understand your trepidation, I just learned (a few minutes ago) that My submission was accepted. I know what you're going through, like having a baby. (Somewhat more difficult for Me, though)

Don't celebrate too soon. If it is your first submission it will take longer than for an established author, maybe 5 to 7 days.

Whatever you do, do NOT click on the blue 'pending' button because everytime you do, your story goes to the back of the queue.

I've only been posting here for three years, and haven't managed to finish anything since last October, but I still check my stories every day, looking for comments, favorites and scores.
