No, there's no law, and the article doesn't claim anyone claimed there was. It was just a dumb gaff (these happen), which was corrected before the article was written and before you posted a nonevent.

If there is a material disruption created by the American flag, schools can ban it. That's the Supreme Court's story and they're sticking to it.

I have watched several videos of these protestors and a great many of them are flying the American Flag improperly on their vehicles. Proper flag etiquette states that when flying the American flag from a non-military vehicle it should be mounted on the passengers side,so that when viewed from the rear the American Flag is to the right. Perhaps these outraged "patriots"should learn the proper way to respect the Flag before making a fuss.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone with a flag correctly mounted on their vehicle. One of my pet peeves.
