We sometimes buy local cheese from the Market in Calais, but we have to transport it in a sealed cool box or we have to fumigate/steam clean the inside of the car. It is against the law to carry some French cheeses on public transport.

Too funny. The one thing I do not hold against the French, and it is a very long list, is their reverence for cheese.
