Is anyone else having issues getting on to story site, is there any news when it will be back?

Yes, the story side has been down for several hours. And, as you see, the General Board isn't the best place to ask questions like this. Most of the posters to this board don't seem to know the Literotica is a story site.

Most readers are too stupid to ask stupid questions in the correct section of the site. Most authors are to stupid to realize no one on the GeeBee gives a fuck about them or their shitty incest stories.

scat and incest isn't a good mix.

There's no reason why someone wouldn't ask a question about the Web site's bread and butter service on a General Board. The stupidity isn't with the one who asks the question; it's more with the posters who wandered in here to freeload without knowing this is a story site and remain so dumb about the site functions.

But apparently Laurel is proud of her favorite playground.

I'm having issues a lot with the site, but not discussing it here, as I also have problems getting on these Forums.

Hello, geronimo. I was disappointed our posts were deleted on the EF thread the other day. :(

Get a life, Pilot. Not everyone on Lit is here for the same reasons. Besides, quite a few writers hang out on the GB. Probably because they thought they wouldn't have to put up with your bullshit over here.

You keep saying that but you seem to fail to understand that advertisers pay for traffic they don't give a shit if the people click here to argue about stupid things or whether they come to read your gay stories. My guess is the majority of the traffic doesn't show up on literotica to read your gay stories given that the homosexual population is estimated to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 4%.

Clicks matter. Content doesn't matter at all except for as it relates to clicks. So that's why everyone here right now who isn't here because of reading one of your gay stories is benefiting the site absolutely no thanks to you.

Does it occur to you that the entire site takes advantage of the synergy of the various types of people who come here for the various diverse reasons. If not for the 80 or so posters on the General Board who are here posting away all day and all night 24 hours a day 7 days a week perhaps the site would not exist in order to be able to host your marginal niche market stories.

Here's a way you can test out your actual contribution to the side. Don't post a single story for the next year, do not make a comment, do not in anyway draw attention to yourself. After a year check back and see whether their site traffic is going up or down.

They have apparently chosen not to monetize this particular section of the site. There are not for example banner ads in the forum and of course they could put them at any time if they choose to. The legacy value of this site includes all such currently realized and every yet to be realized opportunities.

One of the best suggestions I have ever read, Señor. But, if I may, for a serious epidemiological study such as this, ten years or more would be usual.

Of course they were....Mistress Lynn is not exactly known for being unbiased and no picks on her little friend pilot.

Its why hardly anyone posts there, its reserved for the only two people good enough to edit here.

Correct, the boards draw traffic and although not everyone, I am sure some people who mostly post on the boards will read stories here and there and each one is a chance to click on a sponsor

This is a business and in a business and person that sets foot in it is a good thing, even someone who "browses" may create revenue by telling someone about the cool site they just found.

Pilot's issue is all he has in life is his stories, therefore they must be the most important thing here on lit.

Okay, so getting back to the original topic, does anyone know why the story site is down? If not, does anyone know who to ask about it if this is the wrong place to do so?

I'm getting:

HTTP ERROR: 504
Gateway Timeout
RequestURI=http://www.literotica.com/

Been like that for a few hours.

The story side is not the issue here, Dude. It's not even the preferred nomenclature.
