Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The tease for next weeks episode was just old scenes and Age of Ultron promos, where normally you see footage from the next episode.

Could be Avengers appearances, but I suspect that whatever it is, it's going to be BIG.

Jimmy Fallon has a thing on his show called “The Wall of America” in which people over the internet ask guests questions. With the cast of the Avengers on they had a bunch on Marvel geeks on the “Wall” and after a couple of fans who should appear but Clark Gregg! And he asked would any of them be willing to appear on the small screen and they said that they would be glad to. Now being that they are no coincidences, does anyone think that this is Marvel, Disney, and ABC’s way of telling either some or all the Avengers are going to show up on Agents of SHIELD?

So, did anyone catch the lo-fi quality Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer that leaked ahead of time before the official hi-fi release this coming Monday?

The original leaks had been taken down, but there's a Spanish version on CNet still up for peeps.

The social media jury's still out over this, but IMO, it looks okay. They're keeping it gully. Maybe Batffleck isn't going to suck after all. :D

You know I have to admit, Batfleck has me convinced that he should be forgiven for Daredevil and even that Daredevil really wasn't his fault at all. No amount of acting your ass off can save you when Jennifer Garner and whoever was was Bullseye are having too much fun hamming it up to help. He looks legit in that robot suit at the end.

My major complaints all hinge around the "problem" of a Batman v Superman film for an even casual fan of the comics or cartoons. I can tell you how most if not all of this movie goes. Batman is going to study up on the "false God" that thrashed Metropolis. Most likely in someway manipulated by Luthor who normally has a hard time tricking Bats but in this universe Luthor may have two things going for him. First he might have any truly criminal activities yet. Certainly not of the kind that would set off Batman to be particularly wary of him. If they go the route of 90's Luthor where. . .honestly Luthor might have been a dick about it. A huge dick but he had a really good point, not about killing Supes but about the fact that Superman is effectively God. We have zero defense against him should he decide he's tired of being benevolent and wants to be in control and Lex is the only one trying. That basic philosophy meshes well enough with Batman's own thoughts on. . .every Super Hero that the cops would never ever be able to stop. (Unlike him where honestly it's just a matter of time before a cop get's lucky) The two fight. They discover each other's secret identities. Bats probably knows going in through detective work of some sort and Supes had X-Ray vision.

Depending on how much of the Justice League they want to bring in (I keep seeing Aquaman and Wonder Woman stuff floating about. Though Wonder Woman was/is attached to her own project) he either recruits some other heroes to aid in the fight OR they have second confrontation that somehow leads to them realizing Luthor is pulling their strings. Together they decide they are sick and tired of Luthor and run off to defeat him. With any luck he's got his pure awesome armor and we get a genuine slobber knocker.

The fucking end.

S.H.I.E.L.D. continues to impress. And two Star Wars movies? Are we gonna get Star Wars every year? Is that like actually happening? I knwo they mentioned they wanted to milk that franchise like a cow but honestly if they don't mind animating some so we can have the classic cast back I'd love for them to start re-establishing what was the Expanded Universe. Bring back Grand Admiral Thrawn!

Looking forward to this. Marvel's been racking up wins like Pixar and ABC is not sleeping on any of it. :D

Just wondering if the confirmed S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff is a dedicated Agent Carter series or something wholly different. Fun times, fellow comic geeks.

They already put out a second version.

Now that I'm not only down from four shows to two but Marvel and DC are conquering the world I will both no longer complain that SVU and Law and Order come in 31 flavors and I'll stop pretending I'm spoiled with my vampires.

Netflix ‘Daredevil’ Boss Talks ‘Iron Fist’ Connections and Season 2 Possibilities

This past weekend saw quite a few interesting revelations on the state of Marvel TV crossovers, while the full release of Netflix’s Daredevil seemed to set up a great many threads for Iron Fist in particular. Now, showrunner Steven S. DeKnight goes in-depth on Daredevil’s future, including Season 2, AKA Jessica Jones, The Defenders and more.

A lengthy interview with IGN saw DeKnight understandably in the dark over whether Marvel or Netflix would order a second season of Daredevil to join the forthcoming Defenders series, though he stressed that they’ve at least kicked around multiple ideas. Delving further into Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer) ranked among the possibilities, as well as the appearance of a proper “Owl” in Leland Owlsley (Bob Gunton)’s son, though DeKnight played coy about a certain sniper with playing cards alluded to Bullseye, as well as Matt’s Greek love interest in college.
In particular, DeKnight spoke of the many mystical connections and Iron Fist tie-ins that Daredevil set up, noting that any “post-credits” sequences weren’t allowed, given the streaming service’s next-episode binging format. DeKnight stressed that as the first Defenders series, easter egg options were limited, though certainly Madame Gao (Wai Ching Ho) and her mysterious origins might offer a clue:

Being the first show out of this 60 hour experiment that Marvel’s doing, I wanted to lay some groundwork. Whether or not that grows into something bigger, we’ll have to see as the other shows progress. But obviously the Steel Serpent [heroin logo], a nod to Iron Fist, and that world, which is coming up. I really wanted to try and weave in as much as I could the feel of the other shows. There’s nothing I could really do at this point with Jessica Jones or Luke Cage, but with some of the Iron Fist mythology, it felt natural to be able to drop that in.

And there was a lot of talk on the Marvel side, “is it too early to start layering that in?” But I thought, [Madame Gao] is the perfect secondary character to do that with. You start to get little hints of it, when she tells Wilson Fisk how many languages she speaks, she says all of them. There’s obviously something a little bit odd there, and then she gives Daredevil the old iron palm and sends him flying, and then her connection to the Steel Serpent, her saying her home was “much farther away than China.” I actually got a tweet from Ed Brubaker after he finished watching it, and he said “Is Madame Gao Crane Mother?” I’m like, “I cant say anything!”

That squares pretty well with our own speculation on the various Daredevil teases and references.

It’s hard to say if Marvel will expand its Netflix deal for a Daredevil Season 2, but will we see mysticism and martial arts folded further into Iron Fist, or perhaps even the Defenders teamup? What other Daredevil bits could be explored in future Marvel series?

He was always a little cold toward her, and she was just going through a phase.

Welp, according to the media grapevine, Daredevil Season 2 is officially a go now, so looks like it's gonna be more good times. :D

I'm all for Marvel creating more TV series, anything to boost sagging comic book values.

There's already a copy of Ultron on Kickass. Watchable for a cam-rip. I'm holding off till Satuday, however, when I can see it in the theater.

Thursday night at 10 for me, but no IMAX, just regular 3D. I'd never desecrate my first Ultron viewing with anything less than the big booming digitalized screen.

After that, then maybe yeah. :D
