a few welcomed her back. many have no idea what the history was. the only difference between her & grace is that she carries on posting despite the trolling, because both were/are treated with contempt by a significant number of posters.

personally, every time I see her post it makes my skin crawl. and I think a little less of those who fluff with her if i'm certain they know the back story. I don't chase her around the board and troll her threads, but I think no less of those who do.

grace was discovered to have been a convicted sex offender, having had sexual relations with a male student.

reci posted that in her mid-late twenties cybersomethinged with a 14 year old, then ''fooled around with'' him in a car when he turned 16.

not everyone agrees on whether or not these things were wrong, or how wrong they were, or if they're something that should be forgiven and forgotten. I have my POV.

I told a story here once that made people think I had had sex with a minor.

Over a few hundred pages of explanation, I pointed out that I had not, and that the story was misinterpreted and such.

Many people did not believe me.

Now I'm here and some of my friends and my husband still talk to me and apparently it's scandalous.

For me it's just a very serious subject, but not at all something that hurts when someone else brings it up, because really...shouldn't I be the authority on my own life, my own shame and my own sense of humor that after...what...a year or so, it still matters to some folks.

I figure if you can't take my word for it, why would I want to talk to you anyway?

It made my life a lot easier here, ironically, and if I had it to do again...you bet I'd do it again. I'd have the same conversation again.

And it looks like I might anyway, so that's cool.
