The Isolated Blurt Thread XVI: The Butthurt Starts Here

Nightcrawler is damn good. Tension is off the fucking hook in that flick.

Shame it only works the best time on the first viewing when you don't know what's going to happen. I'd definitely re-watch it, but it wouldn't be the same without the fear of the unknown boosting the thrill.

She's mad because I didn't say much after she told me, other than, "I'm surprised it lasted this long."

My biggest struggle in life right now is determining the difference and being okay with people having preferences based on their personal standards ≠ them setting those standards for everyone else. It is okay to personally feel "I do not like that guy's mustache; he does not look attractive/appealing to me with that mustache design" without it being a statement of control over how another person should look, feel or express themselves. Tricky.

I hold to a simpler ethical nexus.

KS is a malignant, sub-human cunt, and I hope to watch his skin curl around him like parchment and the firelight dance in his dying eyes one day.

That works for me, anyway.

Hm? Lol no hah! That truly was an isolated blurt. I was referring to my tendency to get defensive when someone says "that person looks gross with xx characteristics". I feel a rant bubble in my throat about how they're contributing to restrictive culture norms and how that person doesnt owe so and so dick to look and express themselves however. Then realizing that depending upon how it's phrased or who it's said to, it can often be nothing more than a statement of personal preference and not a declaration of expectation or standard set for being considered human. I get my guns out and shoved at people's throats before I pay attention and listen.

Hah, no, Killy is a crotchety grandma trying to exert control over how someone looks with his broad paint brush idealized standard for appearance. He deserves to be confronted about that for sure. :)

Wait, I'm confused. Just caught up on Garnate's thread and Killy was encouraged to make a GoFundMe? But his nose comment was kinda rude and out of the blue... then he proceeds to say big nosed gals are hot? I mean, I'm going to assume he's being oily no matter what but it feels like I cannot even follow the logical, expected bitterness around here anymore.

Someone makes a mean vanity thread and everybody responds as if it's serious but psyche! Good-natured ribbing all beneath! Social pratfalls everywhere.

This is a kind of torture I do not deserve at 4 a.m.

My patience is pretty much spent.

"Like everything else, my patience is taxed."

I wish I could claim credit for that statement but the truth is that I can't. Somebody else said it or wrote it, I read it and remember it but, for the moment, I'm too damned lazy to try to find the author.

I have not read the book(s) either.

I read it waaaaaay back in the '70s when all the moms were hot and bothered about Chamberlain in the television series. Being young and contrary, I hadn't seen it so I thought I'd read the book to find out what all the fuss was about.

It was a total waste of time— simply another stupid and mediocre work of fiction given ephemeral attention by "The Madness of Crowds" and the temporary insanity caused by hormonal stupidity.

Okay, I'm done procrastinating. It's now nice enough outside to remove the snow plow and the tire chains and put the blades back onto my lawn mower.

My lawn looks like the amazon. It needs mowing.

It really warms me to see people jump to my defense. You guys are just really, really good people. I, however, wasn't outraged at the gofundme because....I dunno why. Because I've been trolled worse? That's probably why. And nose insults don't actually affect me, but don't tell Lance. I think he thinks he's really onto something there and he needs that.

I kept looking for a problem about your nose, Garnate. It looks fine. Mine's much bigger. {Why do you think I never pose selfies?}
