Defenders of feminism seem a bit... outnumbered.

This bodes ill for feminists at the ballot box. Statistics like this foretell huge legislative losses, especially since the unpopularity of feminism is GROWING, not shrinking.

All feminists have in response to this is name-calling. No facts. Just name-calling. Again, that's why most of us Americans are tired of your shit.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/16/feminism-poll_n_3094917.html

Only one-fifth of Americans identify as feminists, according to a new HuffPost/YouGov poll. But the vast majority fit the basic definition of the word.

According to the survey, just 20 percent of Americans -- including 23 percent of women and 16 percent of men -- consider themselves feminists. Another 8 percent consider themselves anti-feminists, while 63 percent said they are neither.

Broken down by party, 32 percent of Democrats, 19 percent of independents and only 5 percent of Republicans said they are feminists.

But asked if they believe that "men and women should be social, political, and economic equals," 82 percent of the survey respondents said they did, and just 9 percent said they did not. Equal percentages of men and women said they agreed with that statement, along with 87 percent of Democrats, 81 percent of independents and 76 percent of Republicans.

I have to admit that despite all the justifications and explanations I've heard about feminists being about equality, it's kind of hard to get on board with that when sjws use the female connotations of the word(you know, that whole "femin-" part) to legislate and vocally stand up for things that seem so hostile to men as a gender. I'm not talking about toxic masculinity being dismantled but it really does feel like the agenda most of the time, from the most vocal proponents, is telling men to shut the fuck up and that their concerns or needs are not valid because "you've run this ship for far too long, who cares what you think."

I'm not saying that's what feminism is or that feminism isn't important. I'm saying, I will not call myself a feminist because there are those in that group who espouse those agendas. Maybe if they revolutionized the look, made it something less appealing for man-hating "women dominant gender" sjws to dig their claws into and take a piece of, we'd all get on board. Hanging onto the name is really hurting them. Call yourselves "equalists" or "humanist" or something and make it about EVERYTHING. All races, all genders, all sexualities. Otherwise, no. I'll be over here talking about the exact same things, supporting those exact same things but never touch anything with a feminist label on it. And there will be a lot of other people with me. We'll be supporting equality for everyone while you guys stay over there with the group titled specifically for women, about women and their needs, based upon white women goals.

They're just like Conservatives. Who are also on their way out, despite all their Tea Party resurgency bullshit.

Feminism and Conservatism will die in the 21st century.
