The Un-Isolated Un-Blurt Thread

Based on my experiences, people can shut down when they get upset or overwhelmed when in these situations.
It might appear as non-comprehension or not caring, but it could be just shutting down because it's too much in some way.
He is probably scared too, most people with dementia realize it is happening, at least part of the time.

In talking with the doctor, maybe help him make a list before seeing the doctor, and then writing down what the drs says for him. I have a brain injured brother and it really helps having the drs write up everything.

I'm actually going to save him from that stuff and, unless he has to be present, do it by myself. For my situation, it's best. It really is.

Good luck with you Pops, Twinkle.

Thanks you silly. *smiles*

He might swat a spider or two for you while you're smooching him. Really get you worked up!

Seriously. I haven't seen anything so cute since David Coverdale licked his mikestand in the Still Of The Night video.

I have two of those little buggers.

Thats Miss Misa I believe shes a well trained little yorkie wit a lot of you tube vids.
I hope they know Fata intends to squish her with love. :)

My friend just adopted an old-lady Yorkie who was bred until she got hernias, lived with a broken jaw and no teeth until the local pet rescue took her away and got her medical help. She's pretty happy now, but she's a handful.
Your pet stories are always good, KS.

Do you think they ever sterilize those or just leave the historic layer of spit for future artists? [/germophobe]

Incidentally, a coworker told me this week that there have been studies done about all the germs carried in beards. Apparently they are very germy, and that makes me sad. But I don't care. Beards are good, mkay.

Unless they are on Indie, Jessica Lange or Rick Grimes. Then they should be set on fire.
