There was a picture of Rowan Atkinson in the blurt thread, playing the strikingly unattractive Mr Bean. But last night I was watching him as the fairly attractive Lord Blackadder. Rik Mayall managed the same trick, with the contrast between Lord Flashheart and Richard Richard (who really did make your skin crawl).

What other celebs manage this trick?

Excellent choice. Blanchett has the range that makes her believable in just about any role she plays.

Sigourney Weaver used to have that knack too, bouncing from Aliens to Working Girl and Ghostbusters effortlessly.

More like Kevin Costner and Liam Neisen...same acting no matter what they play in/as.
