OK, I went looking for my stories on other sites. Found a few by title, and then tried a single sentence from one: "At the bar he spies a woman who stands out from all the others." That led me to numerous sites where the sentence was randomly strung with other random sentences, mostly of a sexual nature.

Here's a link to one of them, entitled 3d toon hardcore actions

Any ideas as to what this is all about?

Chunks of basically random text are usually associated with spam. Not sure exactly what the scam would be in this case; maybe it's an attempt to gather enough keywords in one place to game the search engines.

Possibly. I didn't go further into the site to see what it was really "offering," but there were quite a few sites with this type of opening page. It might get them noticed in searches, but it doesn't seem likely to draw anyone in.

Or I guess maybe designed as some sort of virus delivery system? Even suckering just a few dozen people a day into trying to access some content on there might be worth the minimal effort. I daren't actually click any links on that site so I don't know if there's even any functional content there, somehow I doubt it.

It's a ( poor ) attempt to fool search engines into believing the site is something legitimate.

Google has long been aware of this technique and filtering it. Odds are that the only reason it showed up is because you were doing line-specific searches. Anyone doing a general search wouldn't be likely to have it show up in any results.

The crap hasn't worked in years, but the type of scum who produce these pages use every tactic available, all rammed into one horrible mess.
