yes, for me, the language was the best part. Way back when, I participated in a women's spirituality workshop where we brainstormed a huge long list of expressions for the cunt, but most of these terms for vulva were new to me.

I totally enjoy your spelling, Alex. I just don't echo it back to you, but use the US versions. And yes, there were references that went over my head. But I loved her language and her wit. Caitlin Moran has had quite a journalism career. I knew she was still writing regular columns for the Times, but didn't know she'd also written fiction and a television show. A friend from the UK described her to me as the British Tina Fey. Serendipitously, the book came to me just when I needed it. I tend to read literary fiction most of all, followed by serious nonfiction [bios, theology], so this was a step in an unusual direction for me.
