In Canada, we don't have plane crashes.

....we have what is called a "hard landing".

Here's one from last night... The left wing came off, the right wing's engines came off, the nose broke off and the landing gear came off.

Just a routine bumpy landing.

Reports said it was a pretty severe snowstorm, the plane had been given clearance for final approach, and then the lights went out completely (runway, airport, etc) while the plane descended.

Effective metaphor for lance threads of late.

The power was cut when the plane hit a hydro line.

Zing!

Do you have any threads on the first few pages?.... If so, send links, i'll give them a read!

Not right now, no.

But just you wait till two (or more) Litsters get hitched. Then, boy, watch out just how fast it gets to 5K.

The passengers had to wait on the tarmac 50 minutes in the snowstorm before being brought inside.

One guy called 911, who didn't believe him when he said he'd just been in a plane crash and was outside on the runway.

A 13 year old called his father, who was in the terminal waiting for the Arrival, to let him know they'd crashed, were outside the plane ... And could he please let the airport people know they needed a lift to the terminal.

I saw the commemorative plate for Swissair Flight 111 at Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia a while ago. Was that what you'd call a very hard landing?

I dated a woman from Chicago and forced her to go sailing with me near Peggy's Cove... Said she was afraid of the water.

I thought she was being a bit of a puss.

A few hours into it she told me her father had been on that plane.

Bloody hell: awkward moment. Did it take the wind out of your sails?
