Final today between Australia and New Zealand at Melbourne Cricket Ground. Starts at around 2.30 PM, so approximately 4.5 hours from now.

The sledging started about a week ago.

Weekend Today earlier on channel 9: "McCullum has united two countries where Clarke has barely united a dressing room."

Lol. I love it. :)

Anyone been following the cricket?

I'm English and it was just too depressing.

I can't even fall back on the old 'Test cricket is the only real cricket' line since I strongly suspect you are going to spank us in the Ashes, too. I might just re-read all the match reports from the 2010-11 series and bury my head in the sand.

Good luck to both teams tomorrow/tonight, though. Deserved finalists.

The media are really talking up the Australian side. I think they've got it all wrong. They're yapping on about Michael Clarke - I mean, really. The bloke hasn't done anything all tournament. The kiwis are on a 10-match winning streak, Guptill whacked an enormous 237 n/o against West Indies, and all these guys seem to want to focus on is how much bigger the ground is at The G.

I could score a ton against the windies at the minute.

I usually don't even have the patience to watch any sport for more than a few minutes. I'm sure as hell not going to watch one where a single game can last days.

Unless it's motorsport. That's different.

Yeah, it's not for everyone.

NZ all out for 183. Piss poor effort really. Elliot and Taylor were going well for a bit. Faulkner and Johnson bowled well. Aussies turn to bat in about half an hour.

Ooh! I just thought of my next av.

It was all over 4th ball of the first innings......McCullum had to get a good start or the Kiwis were always going to struggle.

And the WINNER is .......Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi,

Clarke did okay for a Captain who had done nothing......really !!!!!!!!! sarcastic lmao

Yep, well we got smashed! Aus just played so much better on the day.

I'm not really disappointed we lost, but more that we didn't play as well as we could've, which would've made the game more interesting!

"Clarke did nothing" *chuckle*snort*laugh*

Loved every minute of it and an awesome win to the Aussies.

In the words of Andrew Denton "I don't care, as long as we beat New Zealand"
