Ted Cruz signs up or Obamacare

Of course the liberals/progressives/socialists/communists are on the attack. They think they see a chink in the armor. Or is that chink just a funneling device to lure them into the "kill sack?"

What do we know about Cruz? First of all he's "off the charts brilliant." Those are the words his professor at Harvard Law used to describe him. (You libs might want to look up who that was and what that professors bonafides are.) We know that if debate was an Olympic sport Cruz would have an entire room filled with gold medals. And we know that Cruz doesn't play defense, he is by nature an offense player.

Cruz didn't decide to run for high office a couple of weeks ago and he didn't wake up on Monday morning all of a sudden realizing he was going to have to buy "ShuckNJiveCare." All of those decisions were gamed out months ago along with the scenarios involved.

Knowing all of that what should have the democrat strawteejurists concerned is that Cruz has not made any attempt to defend his decision. As a matter of fact he's said virtually nothing at all on the subject. But eventually he's going to and when he does it will more than likely be on the offensive and THAT'S what the strawteejurist should be pondering.

Don't senators get health coverage via their job?

Hey Mr fact. ...who else but Muslims. ....as you posited. ....yet pretended not to see when asked. ....spare me the

You don't know what i mean

Nope, they have to sign up for "ShuckNJiveCare" as per the law. Sen. Grassley got that inserted into the bill.

Ishmael

And Senator Cruz avoided that hypocrisy trap the Democrats just love to death, if you cannot beat the issues..., by using his wife's employer for insurance.

Don't forget, his Harvard Law Professors consider him "brilliant."

Famed Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz ranks Sen. Ted Cruz among the school’s smartest students, adding that the Canada-born Texan can run for president in 2016.

Cruz was a “terrific student,” Dershowitz told The Daily Caller. “He was always very active in class, presenting a libertarian point of view. He didn’t strike me as a social conservative, more of a libertarian.”

“He had brilliant insights and he was clearly among the top students, as revealed by his class responses,” Dershowitz added.

It took a few days but the RW'ers got their talking points down on this one. Nicely derped!

Ahhh, so it turns out da faggot is just another alt. Go figure.

Yeah, query thinks he knows who it is, so the question is, which known troll fired up his act not much earlier this morning and also loves to besmirch homosexuality...

;) ;)

If I were a democrat strawteejurist, I would urge my client to make any statement regarding the Cruz announcement with caution if they felt compelled to make any statement at all. I would then retire to my study and begin to consider when Cruz is going to drop a shoe on this whole affair and what form that shoe might take.

You dramatically overestimate how afraid liberals are of Squeaky.

I doubt anyone has a problem with Cruz wanting to have health insurance for himself and for his family. Now, does he believe access to health insurance should be restricted only to those who have six-figure jobs? Democrats should look forward to that debate.

Just give him a lot of rope and the rest will take care of itself.

the ZEAL with which Cruz is attacked for THIS

the ZEAL with which CUNT CLINTON is protected/defended for her dealings

is

SAD:(

Is that a fact?

Then why didn't Ted Cruz sign up two years ago? Was he taking advantage of one of those "exceptions to the law" that he claims aren't lawful?

Look up above. He was insured through his wife.

If he had signed up, you and your ilk up above would be playing the second favorite card of your party after racist, hypocrisy...

It's what you do to any small government type, like Ayn Rand who was robbed all of her working life to support the safety net and then used it. However, nobody is in favor of theft, so when the burglar breaks into your home and steals your stuff, you are not a hypocrite for wanting it back just because you hate thieves.

So Ted Cruz was not forced by law to sign up for Obamacare. He could have divorced and remarried.

Did you expect it to play out any other way? A little snark and run, as per usual.

..and yes I very much am aware of who the OP actually is, and no, this doesn't mean that he too, can now handle an alt in a way that "fools" me into a friendly exchange which was never my point. The fact that he interacted with a couple of mine without rancor was something I observed, not something I would bother to aim for.

On the rare occasion that he has something interesting or funny to say, I interact with him on his actual ID as if he weren't the leper that I consider him to be in an effort to encourage better behavior, while realizing that that is a lost cause, of course.

It was predictable when he started going on and on about my "well seasoned alts" (plural, sic) that he would set himself a competitive goal.

He could get COBRA, but it probably would be very expensive compared to just going with Obamacare or some other alternative. He could get insurance in his home state of Texas, but it very likely wouldn't cover doctors in Washington.

It would be safe to say that every single Republican congressperson has been obliged to sign up for Obamacare, right? Only Ted Cruz got the headlines, though.

What he should do is lead his family to the private insurance they choose, refuse to submit to the IRS any information at all relating to his family's health insurance status, take whatever socialist penalty the IRS is empowered to levy against the family for failing to report proof of their health insurance status, and keep moving on...

...the IRS - by law - can only collect whatever penalties it levies against parties for not proving to them that they have health insurance by deducting that penalty amount from any refund amount the party is due from overpayment of taxation to the IRS.

Refusing to report to the IRS one's health insurance status year after year will obviously pile up the compounding amount of penalties...

...but if one does not overpay the IRS in taxes in the first place, thus not eligible for a refund, there's currently no way in Hades that penalty amount is collectable.

For one who so boisterously proclaims the evil and unacceptableness of Obamacare to the American people in his quest to be President...

...Cruz could set no better example than in leading by doing the above.

Texas Toast Ted's surrender to Obamacare...

...is simply his way of showing his natural-born French Canadianess.

20 grand/year Pooks. His wife is now unemployed for all intents and puposes and while a Sen. makes a good chunk of change, 20 grand is a significant % of that salary and DC is one of the most expensive places to live in the US.
