Who wants to vote for Ted Cruz ?

Not the people he uses for photo ops that are fake.

Not the people who are used by him, to create false impressions.

How awful is Cruz, if he cannot get approval in LYNCHBURG, Va. at a Christian evangelical university ?

They make you come. If you don’t come, you get punished,” said Ana Delgado, a sophomore, who said students face a $10 fine for not showing up at convocation. Delgado wasn’t among those wearing Paul gear. She is undecided about who she’ll support in 2016, but she didn’t like being forced to be part of Cruz’s announcement.

"...the Liberty University students in the photo above, who wore their “Stand With Rand” t-shirts for Rand Paul and made a point of sitting in the front row."

*gsgs comment- Why are news outlets leaving out that fact that the students would be fined $10.00 if they did not attend Ted Cruz's speech ?

Ted Cruz might have forgotten about the gossipy app Yik Yak when he decided to announce at a college

"I am here, so I won't get fined."
(Where have we heard that, before ?)

Is it time to revive the "doge" meme, since Ted Cruz is reviving the image of Ronald Reagan ?

Crack-smoking Toronto Mayor Rob Ford was turned into a doge ("much crack, such enabler")

Cruz has no chance. He's creepy looking and although he claims to stand for freedom, he's actually the worst kind of big government conservative there is.

This is all his audition for the Fox News Hour, where he will prove he's a dynamic speaker with a riveting message for all those who seek Liberty and Justice for (most everybody.)

Al-Jaz was smirking but had an almost straight story.

In 2012, tea party support catapulted Cruz to an upset victory over an establishment candidate, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst. Cruz’s only prior experience in public office had been as a solicitor general, appointed by the governor.

He rose to national prominence for pioneering the unsuccessful GOP strategy to shut down the government unless the White House agreed to repeal the Affordable Care Act and mounting a 21-hour faux-filibuster on the Senate floor decrying Obama's signature health care law.

Cruz primarily distinguished himself during his four years in the Senate as a thorn in the side of the Republican establishment. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., once even called Cruz “a wacko bird” — a term Cruz embraced as a badge of honor.

McCain, however, softened his tone this weekend, saying on CNN Sunday that Cruz “is a very viable candidate” and could beat Hillary Clinton, a likely Democratic nominee, in the general election.

You can't take Crazy to the White House, but can you take Crazy to Fox? SP did.

Would you be surprised to read that Democrats were censored, at Liberty University, where Ted Cruz gave his speech ?

Liberty U. Drops Democratic Club, Saying Views Conflict With Those of College

"Liberty University will no longer recognize its campus Democratic club because, officials say, the national party's platform goes against the conservative Christian school's moral principles."

"Liberty, which has 11,500 residential students and 35,000 online students, has had a College Republicans club for years. The College Democrats formed in October and worked aggressively to elect Obama president."

"Diaz (Brian Diaz, 18, the club's president) was informed in a May 15 e-mail from Student Affairs Vice President Mark Hine that the club, which has about 30 members, will no longer be able to use Liberty's name or be eligible for funding because of the party's stand on abortion rights and gay rights issues."

"Katie Naranjo, president of the College Democrats of America, said, "It's astonishing that in the 21st century an institution for higher education would demand a student group be thrown off campus for their political views."

"Liberty’s College Democrats have been barred from using the university’s name, holding campus meetings, or advertising events."

http://thinkprogress.org/politics/2009/05/22/42049/liberty-democrats/

"...Liberty University made news because it shut down the Democratic Party club at the school because of the party’s platforms. The Young Republicans group was allowed to stay put."

"Of course, since Liberty is a tax-exempt university, they cannot take sides politically and they could’ve been in deep trouble with the IRS."

A month after the Democrat club was banned, the issue of tax exempt status was considered.

Liberty University Makes Political Clubs “Unofficial”

Well conservatives are discriminated against and shouted down in every university campus in the country by academe and their left wing apparatchiks in attendance.

That's your response? "Two wrongs make a right"?

You're pathetic. Fat and pathetic.

Your college campus paranoia is known far and wide.

Which campuses specifically have refused to allow college Republican groups as Liberty did to the Democratic club?

You may recall it was this sort of kerfluffle that rocketed Condaleeza Rice onto the national scene.

She'd risen to her level of incompetence at Stanford University, and after the Berlin Wall fell there was no market for Cold War experts anymore.

They couldn't find anything for her to do that she couldn't screw up, so they basically named her "Provost" and put her in charge of ....drum roll....scheduling meeting rooms.

Surprisingly, this was a task she was actually good at.

She got notorious for giving priority to Republican-friendly organizations, they got the best rooms, beverages from the University budget, etc.

Librul groups got rooms with no facilities (no whiteboards, no projectors, no podiums, etc) and in the worst areas at inconvenient times (Saturday morning 7 to 9 am).

They were not banned.

In late June 2009, Liberty University announced a new policy dealing with all political clubs on campus. The new policy removed official recognition from all political clubs on campus, relegating them to unofficial status. President Falwell said the previously suspended College Democrats "wouldn’t have to do anything" to be recognized under the new policy. Along with other stipulations, the policy allows unofficial clubs to use the university's name, but they will not receive any funding from the university.[135] In response, Kaine said Liberty University solved the controversy "perfectly".[136]

Once again Blubberella lies through his teeth, as is so common amongst Vietnam-era Marines.

The fat wiki-scholar conveniently omits passages from wiki:
On May 15, 2009, vice president of student affairs Mark Hine sent an e-mail to the president of LU's College Democrats, Brian Diaz, revoking the university's recognition of the club. "The Democratic Party platform is contrary to the mission of Liberty University and to Christian doctrine", Hine's e-mail stated, citing the party's positions on abortion and federal funding thereof, same-sex marriage, hate crimes, LGBT rights, and socialism as justification for the dissolution. While the club can still meet on campus, it cannot use the university's name or reserve university facilities.[

They only backed down when the government threatened to withhold federal money for their discrimination.

Wrong. That was there reaction AFTER they revoked the Democratic clubs status and were called out for it.

Liberty announced the new policy dealing with ALL political clubs AFTER questions were raised about it's tax exempt status and apparent approval of Republican clubs while refusing Democratic clubs.

Withholding recognition is not banning, they were still allowed to meet, no one was kicked off the campus for being a Democrat. Liar.

All the while recognizing the Campus Republican's Club, which lead to the questions about their tax-free status and the hasty decision to make all political clubs unofficial.

Yes, you can wordsmith just about anything. Tell us again how you technically "won" in Vietnam, you blubbering blubberball.

I'm surprised no Right winger has said anything good about all the college students at the event. Perhaps it was due to the fact it was mandatory and students not showing up were going to be fined $10?

I'm sure you can give some factual examples to support what you said.
