Hello Lovely Litsters!

I'm new to the Lit boards and was drawn on here, FINALLY, out of morbid curiosity and trying to keep a busy mind. I am trying to find my way around and would appreciate a guiding hand or two. I am aware of the FAQ tab, that's not the help I'm referencing.

Perhaps one or more of you could share your favorite thread, subject, story or share with me what brought you to the lit boards in the first place. Hopefully, that will give me something to work with until I find my own groove.

I see the error of my way and I apologize. I will go to the other boards. I honestly thought "general" meant in general. as a newbie you aren't directed to the Main Lit Forum once you register. I assume it's a PITA for all of the experienced listers but not that obvious when you are new.

With over 15 million posts, and half a million threads, the GB is a popular place. The people that... warn(?) new posters about the GB are, in most cases, losers that came here, said or did something stupid, and rightfully got called on it then left in a huff.

But seriously, if you put like five people on ignore here, the entire forum is so much more pleasant. You'll quickly know which ones they are by their use of racial slurs and pointless political threads. Some you won't want to put on ignore because they are so damned entertaining.
