No.

I think we live in a culture that has guns around.

Sure some places and people are bad and have guns and that make matters worse but for the most part I rarely give guns a second thought, unless it is to adjust some clothing to better conceal or unless it's time rotate the ammo again.

Or to disarm because of location.

That must explain the mass political hysteria surrounding the subject of regulating them in ANY way shape form or fashion.

It has always amazed me that people as children are taught to be "afraid" of instead of how to use or enjoy things like Guns, water...the dark and a host of other things.

No wonder this country is so fucked up.

I wasn't taught to shoot but was instead simply furnished with a BB gun. I subsequently went around and shot things I shouldn't have: a tweety bird, a window, the neighbor kid's ass.

So when my daughter was 9 or 10, I took her out to the woods with my .22 and taught her how to use it. Ironically, she out shot me. It was important for her to understand that guns are just a tool, that you should know how to handle your tools, and that there is a right and wrong time for every tool.

IDK about dark...b/c night vision...but water you should deff have a solid fear of. If not you're just a fuckin' moron because rivers, oceans, lakes and even pools/tubs are all deadly as fuck and take life in the blink of an eye DAILY.

You think this country is fucked up?

You should get REALLY get outside of TX more.....try traveling the world and get back to me on how fucked up the US is LOL.

there's a bb air rifle, but if you want a shot, you have to pump it 12 times.

No, we have a gun culture, not a culture that has guns around. There are plenty of cultures around the world (most of them third world hell holes) that have guns around all over the place. Look at the Middle East, in particular their fiction when you can get your hands on it. Their heroes use swords not because they don't know what guns are or have them available but because their heroes aren't cowboys. It's a gun culture.

Why would we teach children to enjoy things like guns? That's. . .kinda crazy don't you think?

Now I'm all for mandatory firearm education in K-12. I've never broken down an exact ciriculum but I would gladly force kids to learn how to remove a magazine, clear a gun, know how to safely transport it, fire it, clean it. All that shit. And whatever liberals might whine, fuck em. Just like sex ed there are things in this world too important to leave to parents, and choice and freedumb. You're a part of society you fucking learn the fucking basics and you don't get a choice.

Teaching them to respect it? Fuck yeah. Teaching them to enjoy it? Not so much. If they do, they do, if they don't, they don't. I can't think of much we actually teach kids to like. I suppose a case could be made for boys and sports but personally knowing what we know now I'd rather boys not like football. (If you want to play I'm not going to stop you, but I'm not down government endorsed football starting with flag when they are itty bitty.)

I wasn't taught to be afraid of guns, and I never have been.

I'm afraid of crazed fucks with easy access to guns.

That's why this country is so fucked up.

Yeah, totally makes sense: the US is fucked up because people do an almost humane thing: to fear a tool of death in the hands of American Stupid ™ people, instead of having fun with shooting around.

But Hitler!

I think everyone should trade in their guns for clubs.

Then we'd have a Culture Club.

I don't think this country is fucked up. If I did, I'd move. It's a big world with lots of good places to live.

I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're far enough up the ladder that moving would really be that simple for you. (For most people it isn't and where they live is in part dictated by job opportunity.) Would you really leave your friends, family and home? I think things would have to be pretty royally fucked for me to do that. I mean the kind of fucked up where you wear a bullet proof vest to check the mail fucked up.

Nonsense! When things get bad people have historically left everything behind including family and friends to seek out a better place to live. Or in the case of the US, people do this with little or nothing in their pockets to come to this country.

I am tired of reading all you fuckers dribble about how bad it is in the US... especially for foreigners who know nothing about this country except what you read on a porn site and hear in the news.

As for gun culture, embrace it or shut the fuck up.

I tried to culture my guns, but they just could not get into foreign films. :(

no they really haven't. You can keep telling yourself that bullshit but they haven't.

It's pretty shitty in the US but things could be much much worse.

And I will never embrace it, I'll fight it until it's gone or I die.

I was asked if I wanted shoot this guy's pistol onetime...I think it was like a .44cal single six "Hog leg".

I looked at it.

It had dust and dirt and grime, on it. I flipped the little flap door thingy on it, managed to DRAG a round out of it. There was corroded spots on it and the cylinder was wanting to seize up.

I handed back to him and said "Hell no!" and wait to I leave to try it!

It looked like he was trying to "Culture" something on it... but I don't know what.
