Pretty cool animation, but the editing makes me want to just hear any one of those versions of Statesboro Blues.

You should learn organ. Get a real Hammond and a Leslie and go to town. Here's a tip Hammond M3 can be had for $300 or less and are real tonewheel organs. Many call them the Mini B. I paid $50 for mine. The Leslie will be expensive, but WHAT A SOUND!

Thanks for the tip, brother. I've been wanting to branch out and learn something a bit more useful to a blues ensemble than just the bass. Honestly I'm not a great bassist. I'm an in the pocket type player and I think I could do more with an organ. Either way it's worth it if only I can pretend I'm Gregg or Booker T for awhile. Especially if I can get oneof those M3's for a steal.
As for the Leslie, I'll stick a woofer on a hamster wheel if I have to.

Very nice, but the ending is tear inducing. fuckfuckfuck Here and gone. *sigh*

Both Duane and Berry. It's funny I've heard Statesboro Blues from the Fillmore East hundreds of times probably, and I am still hearing things in it that amaze me.

I am currently reading Gregg's memoirs and the chapter on Duane's death and Berry Oakley a year later is heart breaking.
It's quite a good read. I recommend it.

Booker played an M3 on Green onions. The Motion Sound stuff is sometime cheaper than a Leslie. There was also a Fender Leslie type speaker. I believe Stevie Ray used on on stage.

I love every time I get to play Hammond on something. The instrument itself is so inspiring. I've got a guy I hire sometimes who grew up playing in church, and if I ever have the time for practicing, I'm going to take lessons from him.

Watch some YouTube clips of Derek Trucks with them and you might change your mind.

Evidently there is a bunch of you fuckers that I can no longer be friends with.

A-holes.

I have kicked you to the curb.

Try Hole or Garbage or Alice In Chains or Foo Fighters or STP or shit I can't think of any more.

We are finished.

They have a lot of energy, they were very animated in the video....

Sighs.

My company builds displays for Sonos and their guy gave me a couple of their speakers.

These guys sound fucking amazing through that system.

I love the Allman Brothers. The brother who died at a young age had a daughter who lives in Berkley. I think I read that she ended up with the rights to much of their music. It was an interesting story.
