Perhaps something in the spirit of a certain holiday...
An 18 year boy, almost finished high school, is raised by his single mother, an attractive woman who'd had when she was not much older. As his father had abandoned them when the boy was an infant, the closest he'd had to a father figure was the eccentric older neighbor theirs in the same building. He'd been some sort of inventor back in the day.
One night the neighbor calls the boy and go on about some sort of "major breakthrough" but says something about it being "too dangerous in the wrong hands". The boy, being half-asleep, doesn't really understand what he's talking about and says he'll stop by later.
The boy visits the neighbor's apartment sometime later, where the landlord tells him the neighbor had had a heart attack and died. After the funeral, the boy is told the neighbor had no living family and had left everything to the boy.
Going through his things, the boy finds a strange-looking device which was apparently the neighbor's last invention. Going through the neighbor's notes, he learns that, after the neighbor had tested it on some animals, he'd determined that the device is some sort of mind control device. When used on a subject, the subject is placed in a trance and "imprints" on one person (typically the person using the device) and will obey them without question or hesitation. The amount of power used then causes the device to "burn out" after only a single use (and, obviously, there's no one alive who knows how to build any new ones).
Taking the device home, the boy contemplates who he might use it on (perhaps one of the girls in his class that he likes, or maybe even one of his teachers), when, due to a clumsy mishap, it ends up being used on his mother as she walks in. She is placed in a trance and starts calling him "master", while the device has been burned out.
At first, he's dejected, feeling like he's lost a golden opportunity, and left with the strange situation of a mother walking around in a zombie-like trance. After a while, he decides to make the most of the situation. He has her take over all his chores, give him money, cook him whatever he likes for dinner, and let him use the car whenever he wants. (He also has her act normally, whenever anyone else is around, so as not to arouse suspicion, though she still calls him "master" in a trance, when they're alone).
One day, however, something changes. He comes in to see her cleaning the kitchen in a pair of shorts she'd just thrown on, and starts to admit to himself that she has a really nice pair of legs, and admits she's kind of attractive. He starts having her wear shorts or a short dress or skirt all the time so he can look at her. One evening, he's watching a movie on TV, while she comes in to straighten up in her usual trance like way, wearing a short pair of shorts. He tells her to sit down next to him while he watches. After a few minutes, he starts running his hand up her leg and eventually starts to feel up her chest as well. The two engage in a long make-out session for a while, before the boy gets nervous about what they're doing. He calls it a night.
After contemplating the moral issues of going further, as well as the possible complications, he finds he can't resist. After instructing her to put on some lingerie he'd found in a dresser (something she probably hadn't worn for years), he has her take him to her bedroom and the two finally have sex.
This goes on for some time, and he enjoys the arrangement. After overhearing a co-worker at his part-time job talk about a romantic date they'd been on with their significant other, the boy realizes he's never been on a real date before and decides to do something about it.
He makes reservations at a fancy restaurant and has his mother dress up in a sexy little black dress. Deciding to have some stimulating conversation, he instructs his mother to have a bit more of her old personality resurface (though she still obeys him, calls him master, and finds nothing wrong with this). They enjoy a nice romantic dinner, then a walk through the park. The boy really enjoys it and the two begin to go on dates regularly; walking along the beach, driving upstate to a B&B, taking horse-drawn carriage rides (and still having sex regularly).
After sometime, the boy realizes they have managed to become a couple without realizing it. Not only that, the boy realizes he's really falling in love his mother. He confesses his feelings to her, and she admits that, while the old her would've never done any of the things she's done, the lack of inhibition has turned her into a new person. She also confesses that her love for him is now three times as strong: she loves him as a son, as a boyfriend, and as a master.
The boy marvels as he thinks of the device the neighbor had invented, wondering if he would've approved of it being used in such a way (probably not, but what's done is done). He thinks back to how he'd thought he'd be able to have a slave, but eventually found he'd gotten so much more.
