I gave him a few nicknames usually behavior based... He answered to every single one, that is how I knew he was right for me.

I suspect I could have called him almost anything except Blondie, he wouldn't have liked that.

I give pet names too. He has them for me also.


I don't think I've called him blondie, he'd probably laugh, he has this really quirky sense of humor.

Keep this in mind about squirrels: When you see them chasing around in trees etc, they're not just being playful. Those are mostly females running other gals off their territory. "GET OUT OF HERE, BITCH!" That's the squirrel dynamic.
