It's all relative.

The ability to hold down a good conversation is dependent on the interests of both parties as much as it is an individual capability. You should be more specific as to what you would like to talk about or the type of conversation you are looking for. I understand that in looking for someone you would like to have an ongoing correspondence with, there would be a wide breadth of topics. But there is big difference between a hipster type dude, gamer guy, or sports nut; yet they could all engage in meaningful conversation, just of different varieties.
