Twitter or Facebook?

Facebook. I never got the hang of the thread layout for twitter, or how people can respond to each other there. All the hashtag stuff seems overdone as well. I don't have a bunch of friends on FB, just family and real life people. It seems the most user friendly for the older lot.

Twitter seems to be the place to post life-ruining thoughts when you are drunk. That and a method for lazy journalists to manufacture a story. No thanks.

I don't Twitter and I'm really getting tired of Facebook. People rarely say anything anymore. It's "like" and "share" stupid inspirational sayings and political crap.

Also wondering since I've now clicked the local crime page if people feed their anxieties more. Idiots posting about someone driving down their road twice, peeking out their curtains at someone walking by.

Stop living your life in fear.

Okay I keep FB because I find gold in the "Choker's" posts when she gives shout outs to the husband when he's not on FB. When they fight is especially amusing.

Agreed. I'm not on Twitter and skim through FB to see how long-distance fam are doing. Other than that, I hate the "connectivity" 24/7. How is that living? Get out and enjoy what's around you. All this technology just makes us hole-up and not bother to get to know the people around us.

Both are social media outlets, but do different things and make you voice yourself differently. I have yet to make a Facebook plunge and will probably do so for business reasons, but Twitter is the better fit for me personally and leisure-wise, especially if I'm mobile and in transit.

It's become my go-to hub for many things. News, social issues, events, the arts, porn n' smut, conversation groups that share personal interests, everything's all there and it's always ongoing. Plus, you can suss out the idiots and schmucks you don't need in your feed incredibly fast just by seeing how they post. Very versatile. Digging it.

I'm old. I do facebook to keep up with family and friends. Mainly I text.

And the occasional foray onto lit.

i twit some
but do not know how to use it
but to blurt nothings
that i think i need to see...
so...

i don't twit much

fb is evil.
inherently vampiric
and brilliantly seductive...

never ever ever will i grace its bloody clutches.

I'm way too verbose for twitter by a long shot. I'm a fucking windbag. I don't use Facebook that much because I hate everyone on there and I have these relatives who will spam your feed with Jesus and kittens and deformed fetuses for some reason that I've never figured out. I actually posted under one of the freaky medical shit like, "Why the fuck are you posting this? There are little kids on here and this is the kind of shit that the TV won't show without a trigger warning. What the fuck?"

And she responded, "It might save a child's life!"

How? How are spammy pictures of dead things gonna save a kid? It's just going to desensitize them to human gore. Like kids don't get that enough with their saw and their survival horrors and... what else do kids like... their zombie romances because that's a thing for some reason.

Anyway, I'm currently in love with Tumblr. Tumblr is the new facebook.

I'm antisocial. I neither twit nor feeb nor chat. My fave social scene were FIDOnet echoes, but that was back when I had friends. Pesky critters...

i prefer Twitter.

Agreed. Years ago I tried Facebook. Deleted the account after 3 months. TOTAL waste of time. Pain in the ass. You want to talk to me, FUCKING CALL OR VISIT.

Twitter is quick and easy, no BS, fast way to get the latest news, etc.
