As a new person here, I've picked up on the fact very quickly that this place, founded on a collective appreciation of the act of love, seems to be riddled with furious intrigue, transparent alliances and instinctive backbiting.

Is there any chance someone could post a newcomer's guide to the current state of major affiliations and spats, so that I might tread carefully amongst them?

So that's what they do.

If you make threads or posts filled with negativity, complaints, or flames/drama, then others who enjoy that sort of thing will respond to you.

I can't tell how often I will see someone complain about the negativity and drama here, then watch them jump into every flamey-drama-negative thread on the board.

It is very easy to not be involved in drama or flaming. The majority of Gee Bee'rs do it every day.

We're all adults. We can choose how to spend our time. If we're spending it in a way that's making us unhappy, it's no one's fault but our own.
