So, this weekend Bluey put Mad Men on Netflix while I was at a session. I came home and we watched a few episodes.

It was during one particular episode that I realized the Pete Campbell and Killswitch are very similar.

In the episode that made me think this, Pete helped a neighbor's au pare to replace a dress of her employer, that she had ruined. He was being nice, and seemingly selfless. He gets her the dress, and kind of hits on her. She says she has a boyfriend. He goes back to his apartment. It should have been over, he did a nice thing and she was happy. But he HAD to go back, and he HAD to fuck her.

He wants to be nice. He wants to make friends. He wants to be liked. He want's to be one of the guys. And sometime he seems like all of those things. But then he's got to be...HIM.


Now I ask, What GBers remind you of TV characters?

I agree - great thread, Not Normal! I don't watch a great deal of television, and what I do watch tends to be old, specifically British, or both. But I shall have a good think. It's fun to imagine the GB as a home for bit-part character actors long since thrown off the networks.

THANK YOU. I didn't recognize the Gemma name so I did a google search and there's Katey Sagal and I'm thinking "Why doesn't her name not ring a bell?" and it's because her name is Katey, which I definitely recognize.

I'd like to point out that it's only 5:30 in the morning and I don't start using my brain until 9am.
