What feeling do you get as you look at a mirror?

I agree with Lance when I see him he is already that close. On the other hand depending on how far back, and what I am driving and my options ahead? "Fun!"

It isn't like they aren't hoping for a chase, too.

'huh?'

the only time I was ever stopped by cops:

don't look so worried, miss! you've just got a brake light out.
oh... thanks! what side?
drivers. have you got your licence on you?
*produces sealed, addressed envelope* yes, but it's in three pieces. I just moved house.
*laughs* don't worry about it, miss. you drive carefully!
bye! :)

he was kinda cute. and had handcuffs on his thick, leather belt. when I got home I had to have a moment.

For the first couple of years living in this area, I got pulled up at least once a month.
The problem was that I was driving a pretty souped-up car that wasn't registered in this state.
Most of the time the cops were fairly good about checking the re-engineering certification and then letting me go, but once in a while a rookie cop would pull me over and go over the entire car and all the mods - an ordeal that took 45 mins or so.

I have no issue with cops... they have a job to do, and for the most part they are nice and get on with it.
Plus, I never get pulled up for doing anything wrong. Just routine checks and breathalysers and such.

This is one aspect of everyday life where women do NOT want equality with men.

Gosh..... Here I was thinking that it was the fact that I don't speed and drive well, unlike the ex who got caught speeding almost every time he drove the car!
Wrong again

I'm guessing Shagly the Racist Paedophile sees that particular view a lot. Especially when he's near a school.

Did the ex get let off with a warning, or did he get ticketed? I think I know the answer.

Sometimes ticketed, sometimes cautioned.
My point is, I knew how easy it was to speed in that car so I drove accordingly. He didn't.
I never once got pulled for speeding, because I simply did not speed.

My point is male cops here in the US are known for treating men and women differently when it comes to traffic violations. Especially when the woman is attractive and bats her eyes, etc.

About a year ago I ran a red light in front of a cop in Minneapolis on a clear sun afternoon in the heart of the student district. I was on the speaker phone with my mom. I hung up fast and covered the phone. I pulled over before he even got his lights on.

I was coming back from some medical tests that showed unexpected things and I was really quite ill with some unknown at the time, systemic thing. The cop asked me the usual, along with "do you know what you did?", and I said I ran a red light.
He asked me about drugs and alcohol, and then ask me where I was going and I said home.

I had the medical paperwork sitting on the seat next to me and he glanced at that and said "Tell me where you have been" so I told him, in detail. He then told me about a cop he knew who had a similar experience, got the tests and then ignored it until it got so bad he was hospitalized and was off work for like 6 months! He told me that I needed to seriously follow this through, but maybe take someone with me for future tests.

Then he asked if I thought I could make it home ok, or should we call someone to come get me or the car. I said I think I can make it. He then said I have your back or something and didn't even give me a warning... Very nice guy, I thanked him and carefully drove him.

I have no idea why he didn't at least give me a warning, it was a clear moving violation in front of about 100 people but he didn't.
Byron thought maybe it was because I was cute and had an awesome smile, but he was biased, he always thought that even when I clearly looked like death warmed over.

Anyway, I am sure I looked pretty bad and I wasn't smiling or anything. I was just being real, I didn't really care about anything except going home, climbing into my bed and hearing Byron's voice.

Some times the maleness of cops is a bad thing

I have had one bad cop experience with this idiot cop.
It was -22 F. He followed me from outside his jurisdiction, pulled me over for 1 day expired tabs, endangered my life, wrote me a fraudulent ticket, and then had the gall to ask me out.

I went to the court and made a complaint.
He apologized and then asked me out again!

Maybe I will write it up later.

I get the lulz...I usually see a corvette back there trying real real hard LOL.

once I was pulled over, and I wondered how long he'd been back there. It was for a headlight out, which I'd discovered that day. I had bought a replacement and it was sitting on the front seat, ready to be installed by someone who knew what they were doing.

All was good til he saw my entire back seat filled with illegal fireworks. I think he had a good New Years Eve that year. :(

i like how the title reads like it was written by a non-native speaker.

It depends on how I'm driving and where I'm driving. State Cops here are dickheads, Newark only look for guns, drugs and warrants. Depending on the warrant sometimes a Newark cop will let you go, they only care about the bodies. Irvington are the worst cops. Tens cops cars will pull up just for a record check. If they find a empty weed bag in the car you are going to jail. And they will pull you over for no reason. EO cops are bad too. But I don't ride through EO much. Once I got pulled over as soon as I crossed the border into EO ( for no reason), and the cop told me that they act like that to keep us Newark boys from coming over there.

i generally just check to see if my eyebrows are going crazy and if i have any boogers.
